Glorious location and easy to find; good instructions.
Excellent hospitable service from Brian; so helpful & conscientious.
Loved the ease of it; turn up, unpack and get going. Excellently convenient for Hadrian’s Wall exploring.

Nice selection of a continental breakfast in the room and a restaurant in the actual property itself, really enjoyed the food and atmosphere, couldnt have asked for more.
Converted from an 18th-century farmstead, Battlesteads is a stylish country inn with en suite rooms and an 80-seat restaurant. It is set in beautiful countryside close to the Roman Wall

We had high expectations of room with spa bath, own terrace, luxury facilities- these were not met. Breakfast staff really nice and engaging.
Located within the heart of the newly appointed Dark Sky Park, the Hollybush Inn is just 7 miles from Kielder Water. The Hollybush Inn offers stylish rooms and a contemporary self-contained apartment....

Dinner menu was modestly priced , as it should be the food was only modest. We do not eat cooked breakfast and I can only say the continental option was aweful.
This hotel is seems mainly to be used by groups of hikers whom I assume get special rates. It also seems to be aiming to be a wedding venue, cricket club and an outdoor beer garden. Certainly not a upmarket hotel.
It is however in a stunning location.

This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure.
This is my first time staying in Bellingham for leisure. I sometimes travel through on my way to work in Kielder and around Northumberland so have never got to experience the town proper. Some great places to eat including the Fountain Cottage and Happy Valley and cute local shops such as Olive and Myrtle and Natural Northumberland. Recently our friends opened their brewery at the old ambulance station, F&L (First & Last) which also has a tap room opened 09.12.2022 - this addition to the town and previous positive visits will ensure my return for both work and leisure

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village.
A few good places to eat out, even for coeliacs.
Co-op grocery store and some very nice little gift shops.
Visitor centre was very interesting.
Great location for visiting Kielder Observatory, Kielder Water, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Forts, Hadrian's Wall and Hexham - 30 mins from them all by car.
Everyone I met in the village and surrounding area was very helpful and friendly too.

Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above...
Whilst technically a village, Bellingham punches well above the weight of its size - being the obvious local focus for a wide rural area. It is well provided for in terms of shops (including specialist butcher, bakers etc.) and plenty for tourists. It has multiple pubs, a couple of which (the Cheviot and Riverdale Hall) I can recommend from personal experience. Local beers were on hand pump and of high standard. The walking (particularly the Pennine Way) is of an excellent and picturesque quality.
If I could give this b and b 11/10 I would, but ten is the highest I can award. I can't praise this property enough! Great room, fab shower, jacuzzi bath and with TV in the bathroom. Pure luxury hi
The breakfast was filling, cooked and presented very well, and we had the Wednesday night specials of steak and chips for two at a very reasonable cost.
The whole experience is more like a friendly hotel, including the standard of food.
Thank you for an amazing stay. Couldn't fault it x
Very peaceful location , right next to the beautiful walk to the waterfall. A few minutes walk into Bellingham which has small shops selling local produce and places to eat. The accommodation was lovely . Private courtyard with hot tub and small BBQ (bring your own coals etc ). Good cooking facilities inside . The bed was comfortable but not ideal if you are very tall. Everything was spotless. Allocated parking spot outside. No complaints, just sad to leave. Would highly recommend.
The lodges are 0.5 mile from Bellingham, surrounded in hills and farmland. Very quiet and relaxing. The owners met us and we’re extremely friendly and helpful. Provided us with a cot / high chair with no extra cost.
For what we paid we got more then what we wanted.
Large spacious lodge with a cosy atmosphere in a beautiful setting. Plenty of amenities and great parking.
It was perfect value for money We will 100% be back!
Amazing, serene location, beautiful views, peace and quiet. The hut was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Host very friendly and helpful. Extra bonus for my son was to feed two lovely donkeys and a horse. Close to Bellingham (approx. 3 miles) for food (caffes and restaurants) and small grocery shopping. Fantastic waterfall near by (from Bellingham). Will definietly come back to recharge batteries.
My husband and I took my mum and brother away for 3 nights. We all had our own space and individual bathrooms for privacy. The driveway was great as we came in two cars and the patio safe and secure for our dog. Bellingham is a lovely village to wander around with Kielder, Alnwick and Hexham all within travelling distance. We are already talking about a return trip next year!
Fab property, with lots of nice touches provided by the owner. (Essentials for coffee/tea, biscuits, chocolates, lovely soaps, moisturisers, shampoo, shower gel etc. Great selection of books, DVDs, games). Very comfortable accommodation. Bellingham is a great wee place and well situated for trips to walk on Hadrian’s wall and Kielder (Observatory).
The staff were lovely and attentive, the room was comfortable and clean, great shower. The location is fab, right in the centre of Bellingham, with a few pubs nearby and a little shop across the road. We also ate in the cafe on the Saturday night and the food was really nice for the price. Breakfast was also great.
The house is very spacious and very comfortable!! The owners have done a fantastic job of supplying everything you could ever need!. Bellingham itself is a really interesting village and the local people were welcoming and helpful!
Nice cottage with all the facilities we needed. Heating and water were easy to control. Central location in Bellingham and close to nice walks in the area. Nice welcome pack and plenty of room. Quiet location.
Lovely big comfy bed. Excellent location just outside of Bellingham. Lovely host and her lovely cat welcomed us at the property.
I liked how the history of the building was also included in the guest folder
Bellingham is such a charming village. It was absolutely beautiful. The B&B and cafe were very tidy. The food was delicious. There are lovely hikes to go on as well.
