The friendliness of the neighbourhood.
The friendliness of the neighbourhood. The access to restaurants and cafes - there is such a variety of cuisines! The access to transport - easy access to greater London by car or train. Plus a big Sainsbury's on the High St.

My attraction to Barnet is Oak Hill College, where friends are studying for their degrees in Theology. Barnet itself has nice cafes and restaurants and is a relatively safe and quiet area with easy access to London and Heathrow.

Beautiful grounds and an attractive lodge for a quiet, peaceful visit, just off the M25. A great place to stay outside of London, with a direct tube line to South Kensington if you wish to visit the Natural History Museum, Science Museum or the Royal Albert Hall.

There is a main street within a short walk if you need to get any supplies; there seems to be a pretty good variety of eateries too, although we did not visit any on this visit. The tube is about 6-8 mins walk depending on your stride length....so all in all it is a good base to explore as well.
We had a lovely stay here. The hosts were very accommodating, the parking space was reserved for our car and the room was spacious enough for 2. With the hot water running well perfect wi-fi and a comfy bed there is nothing more you really need for a short stay. We commute to London by car and the exit to M1 is just 10 min drive. Meanwhile getting to the city centre is easy with the metro station 5 min away. The neighbourhood is safe and cosy. Go for breakfast in the hotel - great value for money.
Comfy, clean with a helpful and friendly staff. While across London with an hour and a half journey, having Heathrow and Cockfosters on the Picadilly Underground (tube) line meant a no change trip from the airport. Brooklyn House is about a ten minute walk to the tube and then about a 30 minute trip into Central London. Further it is on the bus route to the station with the bus stop over the road. The Cockfosters village is about a ten minute walk providing the essentials with a great baker shop.
It was very clean and modern. It was exactly as shown in the photos on the booking. Coffee machine with a good supply and variety of coffee pods. Powerful shower. Even though its on a High Street it is really quiet. Comfortable bed. Good Internet.
Short walk from the tube.
This flat had everything I needed. I will definitely be booking again next time I stay in London.
it was cheap for London. The staff were helpful and appeared to be trying to improve things. the hotel desperately needs money spending on it. from a location perspective it’s in a leisure park away from the town which is ok if you’re driving, and buses do run nearby. it’s about a mile from the main “town” of North Finchley and the nearest tube station
I liked the accommodation and the staff, The location for us was excellent as it was near my son's flat. The room (room 2) was bigger than I thought it would be, it was en suite and very clean. I thought it was really good value in comparison to other hotels in the area. the bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our 2 night stay
Friendly, warm & spacious. Parking available & easy commute into central but in a quieter area away from the “London buzz”. Breakfast was included but we didn’t sample it, although seemed to have the basics to start your day. Stayed in other guest houses in this location & this is definitely the nicest & most affordable.
The staff were awesome. Very very helpful, and knowledgeable. Keen to keep up to speed with our weekend adventures in London. The room was pretty clean and the location was super, lovely trees and short distance from M25. I will use this hotel again if we need to stay near North London or have swift access to the City.
Last minute booking ( 30 mins before arrival !) so was a little more expensive but to be expected.
Location and grounds were excellent, would not know you were staying in a highly urban area.
Restaurant not cheap for the portion size, but not unusual for London.
Would stay here again if in area.
The restaurant below is beautiful. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a great size and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on. The bedding was top quality crisp and clean. The location is fantastic and who knew how lovely Barnett would be.
Jasmine was a super great hostess. The room was perfect and we found it exactly as described in the pictures. We had a 4 day stay in London. Arnos Grove tube station was about 7 mins away.
I highly recommend this accommodation!
The hotel was good and the price was good
The only thing is that, you need to walk around 17 minutes to the nearest bus station, also the taxi is difficult to reach there to pick up you.
Considering London is an expensive city , all the facilities provided at Bay Tree House Bread & Breakfast are amazing. Heating in the room was very adequate and bed was comfortable.
Lovely room, clean and spacious. The hotel is located in a nice area, with plenty of places to eat. The parking was good and the staff very helpful. Very good train links to London
Staff were fantastic! Thank you Paul and Anna for making me feel at home. The hotel is very close to the underground train station and resturants/shops.
