Wow. This property is amazing !! It is so beautiful and full of charm but has a modern clean feel to it. We stayed in the rooftop room with a hot tub on the balcony and wow it was amazing.
Moulin de Vigonac is set in a former 16th-century watermill, cradled by the river Dronne and located in Brantôme, often named the Venice of the Dordogne region.

Loved the property. Beautiful and well maintained. Our room was perfect and the owners were friendly, kind and helpful. The weather wasn’t great but would love to come back and use the pool next time as it looked gorgeous.
Nestled in Champagnac-de-Belair, in the heart of the Périgord region, Le Moulin du Roc was built in 1670 on the Dronne, a river which runs through its grounds. The property is 5 km from Brantôme.

Such an elegant hotel. Our room and terrace were lovely, extremely comfortable and well maintained. The staff were exceptional, especially Emiline who seemed to be the unlucky one who was always available to answer all of our assorted questions about the surrounding area. She is delightful.
The restaurant, Roda, was outstanding. The food and service exceptional with an elegant setting.
Located on the banks of the River Dronne, this hotel offers elegant guest rooms with a classical décor. The à la carte restaurant features a flowery terrace overlooking the river.

Brantome is an extremely picturesque small town and is a major attraction for tourists, particularly during high season.
The varied shops and cafes provide opportunities to browse while the weekly market is a must-see if you are able to visit.
The whole town is a network of small streets and bridges to explore with the river, parks and abbey providing photo opportunities at every turn.
Visit the top floor of the abbey for spectacular views and an insight into the construction of the building.
Great central location for touring the area.

Brantôme is a lovely little town, great for a day trip or overnight stay. Very picturesque, with plenty to see and do. Good choice of restaurants but they fill up quickly so need to be booked fairly early in the day.

There is a good wine merchant specialising in local wines and an excellent delicatessen.
We also enjoyed a 50 minute boat trip on the river and walking round the town and its surrounding area.

The abbey was fascinating and such a highlight.
The abbey was fascinating and such a highlight. The town was lovely and quiet which suited us. But being a Monday, of course everything was closed! We ate on the Sunday night at our hotel which was superb.

Nice boat rides up the river Drone for 8€ each. Easy access to St Jean de Cole which is a 30 minute drive away and a really super ancient and unspoilt village.

Great atmosphere, lots going on in the Summer months, brilliant weekly market. Lovely scenery, good amenities and plenty of history. The Caves of the Abbey are well worth a visit. The river is lovely where you can either go on the river boat or hire kayaks.
Not very welcoming. We were not given a room in the main hotel (as was shown in the photographs) but across the road in the annexe which we did not want. We had expected a lovely room, with a balcony and overlooking the river. We discovered that the main hotel was not full, but the doors were locked in the evening and the restaurant closed because it was a Sunday night. The other two restaurants were fully booked...we were lucky we found a small cafe open, but otherwise everything was closed.
Everything, the welcome was so special! We did see a rat in the premises....and we had to wait an hour for our dinner, which we didn’t expect at a Michelin star restaurant. But really, we loved the entire experience! I highly recommend this beautiful hotel, perfectly located at the heart of Brantome (a cute town with kayaking and walking possibilities as well as just taking lazy walks through the two main streets- and the Abbey, which towers over the town is impressive)!
WE came to the b@b during our eight visit to France. So we had certain expectations. as to what we wanted. We were absolutely amazed how we were treated. Everything was great: the comfort and beauty of the facilities, the kindness and professionalism of people who run this gorgeous place. We were very lucky to find Moulin de Vigonac and already have recommended it to our family and friends.
Perfect location, literally 3 minutes to the town. lots of restaurants and bars open even out of season - there is a Spar store for any local shopping. The property is up one flight of stairs - well appointed - warm and comfortable parking on the property -so off the road. the park is opposite and lovely way to walk into Brantome.
Fantastic host's Julian & his wife couldn't do enough for you, room was excellent well equipped & spotlessly clean, Julian is the chef, had 2 evening meals, & the food was excellent. Would definately like to go back just to stay & eat at this small friendly run family hotel. Couldn't stay any longer due to onward journey.
property is beautiful, walking distance to Brantome so the perfect country place! they have done a stunning job refurbishing the old mill, it is appealing and comfortable. Our favorite thing was the team running the hotel. they were as kind and lovely as can be! We are already thinking about when we can return!
Angélique & Julian runs this tiny hotel with a few rooms & restaurant of traditional local french dishes all made by Angélique himself. In the dining room are photos of French Polynesia where the couple spent there earlier years. I recommend staying here and having dinner.
Fabienne was a fantastic host, the house is beautiful and the pool very lovely. Breakfast was especially good and the home-made jams divine! We enjoyed the ~30 mins walk to/from Brantôme. We would love to return one day!
We had an incredible stay at this hotel. it was adorable, comfortable and well located. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with several special touches.
Delicious breakfast and attentive host. Great location a short walk from the centre of the lovely historic town of Brantome. Off street parking for our Morgan sports car.
