Wonderful hosts! Delightful, historic home in this gem of an old town where history abounds and close coastal scenery is just minutes away. Very friendly people. The sheep farm and wool store and lavender farm were the best. Town decided to clean a septic area in front of a restaurant at lunch time! STINKY and LOUD. Ate at Harbour House Ales and Spirits.. save your money. Nook and Cranny delicious.

We stayed for one night and arrived late but we were welcomed and we could visit the other bedrooms to chose the best for us. They asked us what time we wanted to have breakfast. They made recommendations for the restaurants.

    I love Pictou!

I love Pictou! There are great places to eat, a marvellous place on Front Street to buy pottery and other beautiful things. Love to walk along the trail by the harbour (pictures of two herons on Wednesday)and explore the small business and chat with the VERY friendly people. You get to feel at home in Pictou very quickly.

Beautiful town; I had a delightful sunrise yoga/prayer session by the ocean side and met some locals as well. How fantastic of a place. I truly hope you take time to stay here. It is close to Cape Breton Island and a ferry away from PEI. A gem of a place. I will be back, hopefully.

Pictou is a beautiful little town with some nice historic sites, waterfront dining and some cool little shops. Unfortunately it seems that many Food & beverage places have closed permanently over the past couple of years, perhaps due to the closure of the Pulp & Paper Mill and/or the pandemic. But the huge plus is that the air no longer carries a toxic odour.

Pictou is a picturesque town with friendly people. Great beaches nearby and wonderful ocean views. Only place I have ever been where a juvenile Bald Eagle, sitting on a post, was comfortable enough to let us and others get close for a photo op....pretty amazing.....

Brenda and George are terrific hosts and Brenda's breakfast in a single word was "perfect". You can tell Brenda LOVES to cook! The care with everything was evident, and their comfortable friendly manner was icing on the cake. Our hour over breakfast chatting with Brenda and George and two other couples from Ontario and Quebec was one of the best hours of our two-week trip. I've already recommended the Willow House to Canadian friends of ours and would welcome another visit if we get back to the area

I do not usually post reviews as one person’s opinion can be different than another’s. As a traveller that has traveled extensively through Canada, US, Europe, Mexico & Caribbean, I feel it is an obligation to provide other travellers notification of a facility that is not as advertised & worth the value charged. This facility is very authentic colonial. The parlour & dining rooms are very authentic & nicely appointed. The hotel common area is clean

I LOVED the bed; it was so comfortable and one of the best sleeps I've had in a very long time. The breakfast was delicious and the home made granola was the best granola I've ever tasted. There were several areas throughout the property allowed for relaxation or to be social. I did not spend a lot of time within the property as I was in town for an event. The owners and the staff were lovely and very friendly.

The dining room has spectacular views, and tables are positioned to enjoy them. The log cabin lodge is beautiful and spacious, reminiscent of U.S national park lodges. Adirondack chairs on the bluffs overlooking the ocean provide scenic and private seatings. The landscaping is also very nicely done. Excellent value for a unique property.

Heritage building, decorated tastefully to match without sacrificing comfort. Nice outdoor balcony seating area. Very hospitable and interesting hosts. Convenient location-- everything is walkable. Breakfast was limited-- no options and no seconds-- but tasty, pretty healthy and a good 'continental' amount for the average person.

It was the cheapest with decent reviews for Pictou and they let us check in an hour early. Also the room especially the updated bathroom seemed very clean. TV was good and the bed was very comfortable. It had a microwave and a mini fridge in the room and a nice little closet with hangers.

Glenn & Elizabeth were great! Beautiful home restoration they've invested in. Pictou was a quaint seaside town with Scottish heritage. We enjoyed our 1-night stop here. The eggs Benedict and fresh fruit was a delicious start to our day!
