The accommodation was beautiful, especially for a country town.
The town had a lovely friendly atmosphere, with all the locals happy to share their beautiful town and its history. There were lovely shops to look in and plenty of places to eat.
Overall, a lovely place to visit.

Lovely country town.
Lovely country town. Heritage walk around town marks specific heritage buildings. Great Pub, The Top Pub, with great food. 2nd Pub being renovated. Several cafes to choose from. Highly recommend The Alternate Route for breakfast, coffee and cake. Nice shops and antique shops. End of July but not too cold. Walked around in the day with no need for a coat.

Uralla was a brilliant surprise!!
Uralla was a brilliant surprise!! A really dynamic little town, with lovely locals. Uralla seems to be a growing hub for locally produced food, beer and crafts. Great vibe. Really not at all what I was expecting. Any country town that is cool enough for the teenagers to stay and work is doing something right.

Uralla is a beautiful small town with a hipe of activities.
Uralla is a beautiful small town with a hipe of activities. It has an assortment of Antique shops, book shops, old clothing stores and lots of cafes and takeaway food places.
The two hotels are thriving and the old historial buildings in and around the main street are a must to see.
Even the museum is a must see on your list too. So much history of Uralla to see inside and the history of THUNDERBOLT the bush ranger is amazing to see !!
There is also a tourist bureau on the main street that points you to all the historial points in Uralla.
Definitely a town to explore for a wander around the streets and perhaps if you have a bit of extra time, some gold panning in the near by creeks and/or river beds.

Uralla is a funky little town that is open on weekends and public holidays. There are lots of little shops and artisan wares to view around town. There is also some good cycling down country roads to experience the beautiful landscape. There are nearby gin distilleries, a brewery and various cafes for dining and drinking. Winter in Uralla would be fun too, lots of fireside options.
Beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, warmly welcoming and generously appointed with high quality appliances and kitchenware. There were so many thoughtful and beautiful touches, right down to the puppy treats. The huge backyard was heaven for our dogs who had been travelling all day. It's location in the lovely, historic town of Uralla was ideal, with a short walk to great food, Saturday markets and Captain Thunderbolt's grave. We fell in love with this gorgeous cottage and will definitely be back - next time for longer!
This one bedroom cottage close to Uralla has views over the surrounding hills, a verandah with comfy chairs to watch the sunset and all we can hear is the occasional bleat of a sheep. Gwen left us freshly baked bread and the makings of a country breakfast. In the morning the sun streams through the kitchen window onto the small table, ideal for two. This place is a restorative stop between Sydney and Brisbane, a short drive off the New England Highway. Next time we will stay longer.
This hotel is undergoing renovations at the moment, Peter the owner was very helpful in an email for self checkin, but when we first booked we were not aware that the room did not have an ensuite, we were changed to a room that had that facility after calling Peter. Easy parking at back of hotel and I feel once all the restorations are completed it will be a comfortable place to stay.
Good location as it is in the main street and close to the Top pub for meals.
We were pleasantly surprised on entry with how lovely the apartment is: large, newly renovated and tastefully furnished, with a superb bathroom and a well-provisioned kitchen. The kitchen leading directly onto a big and well-tended private garden with BBQ area was a bonus. The hosts had thought of every detail to make us welcome. The location being round the corner from shops and cafes of lovely Uralla was perfect.
The Bower is absolutely delightful, Rob’s thought of everything you might need, it’s so spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. There’s a delightful little garden and outdoor space to sit and enjoy a glass of wine, always a bonus when you’ve been driving all day.
We loved our trip through the New England and Uralla was a great stop over. Dinner at the Top Pub was excellent.
Highly recommend.
Stopped in for an overnight stay at the Bolt Inn Uralla. The pub is undergoing renovations with accomodation being the first part completed. Rooms are stylish, comfortable and amazing for the price. Bathrooms are shared but there are plenty of them each with its own toilet, shower and vanity. We had a room on the front and it was super quiet at night.
We love Uralla, and to be able to stay in a lovely old building that has been lovingly restored to its former glory was just fabulous. The house has such an amazing feel to it, and it is so comfortable. Walking distance to everything you would want.
Uralla is a very friendly town. We did not meet any staff at the Altona. We were advised our room number by text and the key was left in our room. The amenities were adequate for our one night stay and the room very clean and tidy.
This was without a doubt one of the nicest places we have stayed on holidays. The perfect mix of elegance and comfort. The garden was beautiful and the places had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
We really liked the wood combustion fire. Uralla in the middle of winter is very cold, however The Bower is comfortably warm and cozy. The bathroom is also very well appointed with a very luxe ambience.
The room was spacious and nicely decorated. It is being restored at present , and has many original features. It is located in the centre of Uralla. It is a short walk anywhere in the town.
