The facilities were great; loved our tent. Above all the staff was extremely caring. Dianne gave us all the guidance when we checked in, and at night-time Rob surprised us with his kind hospitality. He lighted up the property and created a small bob-fire which made it extra special, and above all, he offered his assistance, at any time of the night, which gave us so much sense of safety and comfort in such an isolated but lovely location. Will always come again.
I enjoyed my tour of the Bilya, Koort, Boodja museum.
I enjoyed my tour of the Bilya, Koort, Boodja museum. The food at the Rivers Edge cafe and Lucy’s cafe was delicious and reasonably priced.
The rivers edge walks are most enjoyable and the town is easy to get around with strategically placed maps with advice on walking distance and times.
And I enjoyed that they’ve kept so many of the towns historical buildings.

Northam is a peaceful town situated on the banks of the Avon river. There's a few "individual" type shops there and several eating places which should suit the majority of people. There are walking paths along the river to enjoy the plentiful bird life.
Drive out a bit further and we enjoyed the Silo artwork, the open countryside, York which is only a short distance away etc.

Northam is a comfortable drive from Perth and is central to a number of interesting country towns and tourist attractions. Northam has seen a long period of stagnation as it is no longer on the main highway, but it is going through a resurgence. There are now a number of places offering clean and new accommodation, such as the Farmers' Home Hotel and the Duke's Inn, and there are some pleasant places to eat and drink. Well worth a visit and a stay.

Nice river environment to walk around, the guide at the visitor centre gives a 1, 2 and 3 hour itinerary which is good. Visitor Cafe closed on Monday - not so good as this was the day we were there! Next visit we would chose a place away from the main roads.
Demountable good parking good for over night good heating shower good and hot water walk the whole town and river from hotel and was near kingdom hall meals expensive but had some options affordable free pool on Sundays make sure you check black board for chiefs Special and side options. breakfast included no gluten free options but had non dairy milks. tea varieties needed toping up.it is self serve continental toast cereal but GF cereal would have been good
The communication from Derek and Tayla was good and reassuring.
The house was delightful and in a scenic position by the Avon.
Everything was perfectly clean, easy to access and nothing that we required was missing.
It was a welcome place to stay and I will have no hesitation seeking accommodation here again if in Northam
Highly Recommended.
Reception staff both evening and morning were friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was very good servings, parmigiana was half the size of a dinner plate - sticky date pudding was light and delicious. Stayed in room 13 first floor of the hotel was basic, but had a good tv with netflix, toiletries provided - basic amenties overall.
Beautiful hotel, timeless yet modern! Very clean, staff were great so friendly and helpful. The bar downstairs is really nice for bites to eat and great cocktails!
Aesop products in the bathroom are a perfect touch!!
Located across the road from the river and visitor centre! Amazing place to stay if roadtripping in the area!
Nothing really - maybe it will get better but I would give this hotel a miss for a while it was very disappointing. Overall the idea of Farmer's Hotel is good, but lacks the attention to detail and execution we have experienced at their sister hotel in Katanning (Premier Mill Hotel - hihgly recommended).
It was comfortable, clean and a great location for the wedding we were attending in Northam and only a short drive into town for groceries or restaurants. It was helpful that we were able to use the laundry facilities, however there wasn't really any alternative for drying other than the dryer.
An enjoyable stay in a lovely old hotel - met by a friendly and helpful owner who showed me where everything was for breakfast in the morning. Had a nice meal there that night and a relaxing continental breakfast before heading off.
Close to Coles and the Riverside Hotel. Was in Northam for a work event. Great location. Rented a room in a house with two other rooms available. Glad the other rooms were not occupied otherwise I think I’d have heard everything!
The breakfast was basic, but ok. Self serve continental style. Not much choice of condiments. Staff were friendly at the hotel. The accommodation was very basic and more suited tradie style accom than tourists.
Lovely old hotel with many restored features. Rooms were quiet, & shared bathrooms were very clean. Great food including gluten-free options. A typical WA country pub with a good atmosphere.
There was no breakfast options so we had to go into town. On the Saturday night we decided to have dinner at the hotel but no dinner available and bar closed at 6pm.
Fairway Manor Accommodation is conveniently located about 5 min drive from the town centre. Quiet and peaceful at night, beautiful gardens and views of the town.
The location next to the river was fantastic and the house even better. Everything was perfect and I would stay here again if in Northam. Thanks Tayla and Derek
