With a peaceful location next to Dalsland Canal, this hostel features a large garden with barbeque areas and a private bathing jetty. Guests have access to a shared kitchen and TV lounge. Everything was perfect. Room was clean, area was perfect, hosts were very friendly and had great English, breakfast was delicious. Very good value for money. I would recommend this place to anyone. Tack!

Featuring tastefully decorated rooms with views of Lake Sirsjön. this hotel offers a restaurant, a gallery and crafts shops. Torsby is a 5-minute drive away. We were on our way to Sälen and needed a stop. We were met by a very kind and professional staff. The rooms were spacious, clean and we had a nice view of a lake nearby. In the evening we had a dinner at the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. We had to leave before the serving of breakfast. Then the staff made some sandwiches to us for the early morning travel.

Built in the 1700s, Hennickehammars Herrgård is home to a grand old manor surrounded by lush green forest. The charming guest rooms are beautifully furnished and some come with a bubble bath. The estate is beautifully situated near a lake with hiking trails all around. You could rent the spa with sauna and jacuzzi and have it all to yourselves. What a treat! Comfortable and cozy rooms. Dinner at night was outstanding!

This manor house is 35 minutes’ drive from Karlstad. Leisure options include bicycle and canoe rentals. It has its own small church. The in-house restaurant offers dinner.
