Charlton Hall is now only run as a wedding venue. The Tempus is a beautiful hotel with state of the art technology for controlling room lights, temperature in the room, etc. The decor is colourful and flamboyant with a fun vibe and tastefully done. The dining room is cheerful and the bar cozy. The food was excellent. There was also plenty of parking, a necessity as it is out in the country. I would highly recommend a stay at The Tempus.

Just half an hour’s drive from the centre of the Kielder Forest Park is Yellow House Bed and Breakfast. Surrounded by wild Northumberland countryside, the farmhouse property offers free Wi-Fi and en suite accommodation. We had a great time at the Yellow House Farm, the location was like a dream and the rooms were cozy. Avril took very good care of us with a delicious breakfast, but also giving us tips on the area.

Catered very well towards children by providing a cot bed, little seats, toys and a high chair. We initially booked for 4 nights and ended up staying 2 more nights as we loved it so much.
