It was a fairy tale-like experience to stay in a property with such history and beauty! It was definitely worth the detour for two nights. Modern amenities were balanced with old charm and expansive grounds (including a moat and a new plunge pool). We stayed in a family suite that was very comfortable. The family who runs the B&B has had the property for more than 200 years. The auberge around the corner is of very good value and quality.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome and a wonderful tour where we received an abundance of information about our stay at the Château. Our rooms were very comfortable and we used the swimming pool while relaxing and enjoying the serenity and sunset. The host was friendly and attentive. Breakfast included wonderful fresh figs and home produced honey! We would highly recommend.

Château de Colombier offers accommodation in Saint-Julien. Free private parking is available on site. The rooms include a flat-screen TV. We stayed at this beautiful estate for three nights in the "yellow room" that is tastefully decorated with lovely antiques. It felt like a house museum that we could sleep in. The Bathroom is modern and spacious with lovely touches of pretty soaps, nice towels. It is a pastoral setting overlooking the countryside. We have to thank Jean & Sylvie who were so kind and thoughtful and their generosity of recommending restaurants and places to visit some of these places were not even mentioned on travel sites. We would return in a heartbeat.
