I loved this 17th Century house turned modern cozy retreat. It was such a pleasure being surrounded by beautiful stone walls paired with all of the modern amenities and fixtures. The home had all of the modern features I needed - a well equipped kitchen, great water pressure and temperature, good wifi and thoughtful decor. I loved having a glass of wine on the front balcony during golden hour overlooking the chapel and village. Nuno was a reliable, kind host, there to answer any questions or offer advice. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in a charming, historic community - this is it. Abrigoso is a terracotta roof-adorned piece of history that will make you feel you've transported back in time. Watch the locals work in their small terraced gardens or guide cattle through the stone streets. If you are fortunate to interact with them, they are lovely. Modern amenities are a short and beautiful 15 - 20 minute drive away. Nearby cities will have plenty of grocery store and dining options.

The house seems completely new but it is actually renovated. All is just great, the terrasse the friendly owners, the history, the beds (!!), the bathroom, kitchen. Just great. I stayed an extra night. Also the surroundings are great. The hamlet Vale Abrigoso is one of the most authentic villages I have seen. The road from there to Cujo is just beautiful.
