I can only recommend - GO - GO - GO and stay here at least once in life and experience all that this team and place have put together. Located 500 metres above sea level, on the slopes of Serra da Lousã mountain, Talasnal Casa da Urze AL is part of the Talasnal schist village. This stone-built house is 6 km from Lousã Castle.

We felt completely immersed in nature. This lovely schist cottage is perfect for a couple. Nothing was missing. The layout was that of an open space with a very comfortable bed, a complete kitchen and a bathroom (with a shower). We spent the day exploring the hiking trails, the evening in the warmth of the wood burning stove (salamander). There is a little balcony with a spectacular view of the hills surrounding the village. From here you can also have a glass of wine or a meal enjoying the landscape and the sound of the water stream nearby. The hosts are a lovely couple. We had a few chats with Maria José, which brightened up our days. Breakfast was delicious (keep an eye out for the delightful chestnut tartlets). You can have it with the same stunning view, either indoors or outdoors.
