We absolutely loved Casarão. Friendly staff, beautiful interiors, fabulous rooftop terraces, and we loved all the paintings hanged in this ancient house. It’s excellent value for money and the room was very comfy and wonderfully decorated. Pity we only booked for one night. The entire house was spotless clean and the communal kitchen had everything one might need. We definitely will be back, highly recommended!

The view of the Ria Formosa was pleasant and the sunrises and sunsets lovely. There was plenty of parking available outside the apartment. It was a short walk into the town with a good choice of restaurants available. A car is essential if one wants to go sightseeing, but there is a regular train service to Faro westwards and Vila Real de Santo Antonio eastwards.

The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood, away from the main streets, giving it a peaceful, countryside feel. You can even hear the wind blowing through the trees. The terrace offers a pleasant sea view as well.
