Such a lovely location with stunning views over the countryside. Quiet and peaceful but 8 minute drive to restaurants and the lake at Banyoles. Excellent hosts with great communication. Too cold to use the pool but I’m sure in summer it would have been fabulous. Great kitchen with cooking facilities we needed to eat in one night. Plenty of space to enjoy staying here longer if you want to. Shower was spacious and clean, bathroom had everything we needed, but we were told in advance to ensure we brought our own shampoos and shower gels etc. plenty of parking, and good to be able to unload and load our bags at level to avoid stairs.

Where to start. Everything was wonderful! The location is at a lovely, beautiful Spanish village, where you can come home to relax after sightseeing the village itself or many other lovely places in the area/nearby (close by other lovely towns as Banyoles, Figueres (Dalí or other museums), Girona, Besalu, Olot and so on + no longer than an hour drive to Port Lligat, Cadaqués (Dalí and beautiful village anyhow), Vic and more). It’s perfectly situated and a perfect place to drive around to see Catalunya and come back to this great home base! The place is big enough and you have all the privacy. Also, there is enough parking space. The house is beautiful from the outside and inside and has so much character: typical Spanish and decorated with beautiful paintings, also of the famous owner Olga! The owners Olga & Llorrens are the most welcoming, kind, friendly and heartwarming persons. They live the Spanish saying: mi casa e su casa. A beautiful couple who made us feel very welcome from the beginning; they brighten up your day! They were also super helpful and gave several advice on where to go, to eat or what to see in the area. The breakfast was made with love everyday. The space was clean and our beds were great; we slept very well. I’ve been in southern Spain with friends and to work, then in Barcelona for work, and then I ended up here to spend some holidays and it was the best ending of my Spanish journey I could wish for. Thank you so much for the great stay! Highly recommended.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful and they own a great property. The guesthouse is behind their own house and consists of two apartments. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. We loved the pool!

This was one of the best accommodations me and my partner ever stayed in. Such an unique experience, sleeping in a building from 13th century. The rooms around the building are incredible and Luis was the nicest explaining and showing us around the building. We were planning to have a dinner in the town of Girona, but as we came to the Las Heras, we decided to have a dinner there, because of the incredible ambiance. Food was very tasty and their homemade wine was also good. The whole experience was just next level, feels like you are in a movie. And they are also pet friendly which is very nice, there was also other couple staying with a big dog, cute! Hopefully we will come back one day. And make sure to not be like us and come to Las Heras without money (just with card) so you can give some tip to Luis (or other staff) who was incredibly simpatic and the nicest ever. 😀 For sure he made the whole experience even better.
