It was a well worth the cost and even more than what was expected. The facilities and staff were awesome. Everyone was very courteous and friendly, from the security at the entrance to the desk staff and the support staff. We felt welcomed and well cared for. Their breakfast was great and the restaurant serves really delicious food. Cocktails and drinks were great as well.

I stayed with family menbers and they had a nice thatched room.
As I said, my opinion is that we were accommodated in the old gardener/gate security guard's facility because it is situated right at the gate
The loadshedding in RSA contribute 100% to make your stay terrible

Our purpose for traveling to Midrand was to visit family and grandchildren, not especially to see the sights. However, there were two places in addition to the house where we were visiting our family that we really enjoyed:
There was a Natural Wildlife and Bird reserve with walking trails and a lake, picnic tables, shelters, and facilities to make it pleasant and comfortable.
And the Mall of South Africa is not just a mall. It has both outdoor and indoor play areas for children, fountains to splash in, and amusement park type rides, (which weren't running on the days we were there), in addition to all the food and shops you would expect at a mall. And South Africa is very inexpensive for those coming from the UK, the USA, and Europe, so you can eat out, a really good meal, for the cost of the groceries for preparing it yourself back at home.
There was no water due to an apparent burst pipe but the hotel didnt make plans to get us water for the bathrooms or for bathing until we asked for it even then we waited almost 2 hours to get water for bathing because the receptionist apparently forgot then my husband had to wait at the reception so that he doesn't forget again. When we handed in the keys, they just said thanks, no apology for the inconvenience ih and by the way, we left without taking a bath.
This hotel is run poorly, The rooms are dated and very small especially for the price you pay for one of the biggest rooms. The fridge did not work, the bathroom did not have enough towels, there were spider webs everywhere in the room. The bathroom had a horrible stench which made us gag every time we walked in. The breakfast was sub standard, and breakfast was cold. I had high expectations for a Protea hotel, but will not ever be staying at this hotel again.
Everything, last time I stayed there, there was a water issue in midrand and I didn't have a good experience. This time i returned and it was a lovely experience, my room was also upgraded because of my previous stay experience. Thanks to the lovely Refilwe, I don't think I will stay anywhere else when I'm around waterfall.
All expectations exceeded!
I booked onto the Hotel late in the evening cos the one that I had intended to stay at for the night, had no electricity altogether during loadshedding.
I waited, and waited, till I DECIDED OTHERWISE.
Very nice people, clean, beautiful and tranquil hotel. WiFi had problems but they made sure to cover me with a separate modem...and when my car was delayed at the workshop they allowed me a late checkout...small things that count.
The bed was not comfortable at all and worse I had asked for two single beds because I was travelling with a friend but they didn’t keep promise. The breakfast fast was also bad and underwhelming for a 5 star hotel.
The house was homely and welcoming. The decor has modern finishes which felt similar to a hotell stay. The area is close by to convince stores and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and the host was super friendly.
While my stay at Inani Hotel Gallagher had its challenges, I appreciated the affordability and the helpfulness of the staff. Its proximity to the Gallagher Convention Center was a convenient perk as well.
I loved everything about this place from the deco to the convenance of the location. I would now rather book this place than going to an expensive hotel in Midrand. I definitely give this place a 10/10.
There's nothing I liked, I even left before a day of check out. Our car almost got stolen around the area... It was just bad experience for us. Mercure in midrand, nothing to like about.
The room was clean , bed comfortable, pillows comfortable, water hot enough, bedding clean.
The staff was friendly enough
The hotel is beautiful inside
