Hilltop Getaway ticked all our boxes. Harald, our host, was very welcoming and informative. Impeccably clean, cozy, comfortable, well built and equipped. The two dogs were beautiful and so friendly. We fell in love with the entire Hoekwil area and had a wonderful experience in the quaint village pub, Hoeka Toeka, with live music from an outstanding Boere Orkes, which was incredibly special and unforgettable!! I highly recommend Hilltop Getaway to anyone looking for an exceptional farmstay within close proximity to all the beauty along the Garden route. Thank you Harald.

This is a beautiful resort in nature with lovely views of the Touw River. We booked a ground floor unit overlooking the river. The room is spacious and modern. The food at the restaurant were great especially the lamb curry. Included in our booking was a basic buffet breakfast which were more than enough. We were there in April so the weather was not great for swimming. It is a family friendly resort - you can make use of the canoes at the swimming pool.

Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.
