The maid we met was super nice, and very professional.
My wife wanted a water one night drink machines did not take a debit card, no cash. Asked at front desk for options? Scott night associate offered me $2.00 to buy a water, I refused his generosity, but Scott said take it, it's no big deal. I said okay, but told him I would pay it back before I checked out.
At check-out I gave Ester $2.00 to give to Scott. She put the cash in an envelope and told me she would staple it to his time card.

The front desk staff Rob was wonderful at check in, he made it very easy for us to book an extra night and was very kind! The room over all was not bad, they did advertise that they had remodeled but I was unsure of what was done to the rooms, the walls were a bit dirty and could have been wiped down a bit more, the shower also still had some soap residue around the drain but nothing major. For the price we paid it wasn't to bad. Would probably stay again.

It was cheap and clean. We love older hotel/motels, so the OG tiny bathroom was cute. We appreciated the mini fridge and microwave, not something you expect at this size or price range. Laundry on site was nice too.

This was a wonderful space. Plenty of places to go sit & relax with or away from your traveling companions.
Despite it being billed as a fisherman's getaway, it did not even have a hint of a "fishy smell". Very clean & well maintained.
Looking forward to staying here again!

The restaurant 50 Taters was awesome and I would recommend that everybody eat there at least once. The big disappointment was the Unclaimed Baggage Center. It wasn't what I expected and the prices were still just as high as the stores for used stuff.

We go to Scottsboro fairly often for the fishing.
We go to Scottsboro fairly often for the fishing. And we enjoy the Unclaimed Baggage place. We ate 50 Taters ,which was very good and Stevarino’s that was also very good. We always go to Payne’s for lunch when we are there. It’s an old fashioned soda jerk place. Always very busy at lunch time.
Stayed here for 1 night. Didn't expect much for the price but the first room i went in had trash in the drawers and roach sheddings and the bed sheets were dirty. Second room i itched all night so i believe it had bed bugs though i never seen any. I would not recommend. I understand its a budget hotel but even at that budget they could do more cleaning and pest control. I'm surprised someone hasn't called the health department.

This is a wonderful hotel. Everything was excellent. Lovely large room with huge comfortable bed with quality linen. Bathroom superb with quality toiletries. Breakfast was exceptional.
Not bad for an older hotel. Everything seemed clean. Breakfast was hit and miss. Waffles, eggs, bacon, were all great. Baked goods were stale/hard. Coffee wasn't very good.
The guy working the front i think it was john ( coild be wrong) was awesome and very helpful. The hotel was close to everything and the price of the room was really good.
