Although we stayed only for a night, I really liked this hotel. The staff was helpful. They gave as cookies and a decorative apple on check-in, which we really liked. Parking was easy. The room was clean. We had breakfast at their restaurant and we also enjoyed that very much.

The bed was really comfortable!
New table lamps with plug sockets have been installed by bed side to make up for lack of sockets to meet modern traveller requirements (it is an old hotel)

Still not sure what I paid? Was charged $50.00 for some deposit that I was told would be refunded and an extra $15.00 for parking that I understood was free.

From my experience, its gorgeous scenery BUT the transportation is antiquated, resulting in higher travel expenses because I had to Uber everywhere.... Rent a car or have alternative transportation set up if you do decide to visit SLO.
Theres only two buses out there that run once an hour.
And one bus on the weekends.

Absolutely beautiful area.
Absolutely beautiful area. Very charming downtown with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Beaches a short drive away. Highly recommend SLO Provisions for breakfast. El Esquina for a delicious meal. Farmers Market on Thursday nights give a wonderful sense of local products, foods and services. Very easy to walk around downtown. Morro Bay is an easy 20 min away. A beautiful drive. Morro Bay is a charming beach filled with local surfers, people walking their dogs or just hanging out to soak in the waves and surrounding beauty.

Close to downtown, shopping and restaurants to include the famous Madonna Inn. We were there to visit our student at CalPoly. Great amenities for our family. Always nice to have extra space in our room with the living room/dining area.

Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes.
Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes. Easy to get around. I loved how unique all the different buildings and houses were. Food was only decent, but not terrible. Good breweries, too! Very walkable. The highlight was going to the hot spring resort for their hour-use tubs.

Beautiful place to visit.
Beautiful place to visit. University town with a lovely walkable downtown. Lots of restaurants. Many people biking. Close to Pismo and Avila Beach, Morro Bay (and Rock) and the gorgeous central coast.Always love coming to SLO but it can be very pricey. This was a quick family visit so didn’t eat out much. Always find time for a latte at Scout coffee. If you are on a budget, check out hotel prices in advance prior to choosing dates. Inexpensive places jump to over $200 per night during certain weekends.

We went for an early morning run up the convenient bike path into SLO. We had a great tour of the city on foot and visited the El Camino Real sites and the Mission. We ran back through the hills and had a great view of the surrounding areas. Worth returning to visit. High up on the historic trail.

For what looks like a standard motel, this place has little touches that punch above its weight. Friendly staff, good breakfast including good coffee, cute outdoor seating areas (chairs on balcony outside breakfast room, Adirondack under a tree, might even be some by the creek), local newspapers.
We were able to walk Downtown (maybe 15-20 minutes), though there are also some nice restaurants just down the block.
I enjoyed the suite layout of the queen room. I was able to work in the living area while my family slept. enjoyed the managers happy hour and little bbq offering. the breakfast was nice although coffee wasn’t the best. the gym had enough weights and machines just a small space on third floor.
our first time in San Luis Obispo and the hotel was just the perfect stop for us. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. We felt welcomed with our dogs and the town was lovely. The room is well decorated and we had plenty of room. Very spacious bathroom. loved the breakfast!
Awesome hotel. Great pool area, didn't try the spa but it looked really nice. Everyone that works there is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and awesome. Had a balcony which was an added bonus. Right in the heart of downtown and walkable to everything.
The location is great, very quiet. On the edge of downtown, but still within a 3 mile walk of restaurants, stores and Cal Poly.
Jack-in-the-Box is only a short walk away and the Hotel is right next to the freeway on-off ramps.
Spacious and clean room
Nice and helpful receptionist
Practical location for people who don’t have time to get in the center of SLO
Cheaper than other hotels in the area
