The facility and location are wonderful. The mattresses however were horrible and I actually got very little sleep and ended up with the very bad backache. For the price they charge they should at least have decent mattresses.

Sweeping along the coast against a mountain backdrop, San Diego has easy living down to a fine art. Its wonderful beaches and mild climate make it a favorite spring break destination, and with over 40 city breweries, there are plenty of ice cold beers to set the mood.
The city’s most recognizable landmark is the Hotel del Coronado, a wooden Victorian beach resort, now a National Historic Landmark. As original Spanish mission and first in California, it's has been relocated to the Mission Valley area, and Old Town San Diego still has many Colonial buildings and quirky shops. Also great for shopping are Horton Plaza and the boutiques in the beachfront neighborhoods.
The city’s most famous attraction is its zoo in Balboa Park, a few blocks from San Diego International Airport. One of the world’s largest zoos, it is well worth a visit, as is the fantastic SeaWorld, home to several killer whales. To see wildlife in its natural habitat head to La Jolla beach where harbor seals rest, or watch whales in season from Point Loma Lighthouse.
Just over the border from Mexico’s Tijuana, San Diego has a distinctly Latin American vibe and a variety of accommodations encompassing apartments, motels, B&Bs and hotels. See Booking.com for the best deals.

The city appears clean, uncluttered, with lots of green space, beautiful flowering shrubs, flowers, palm trees, and beaches. We've visited before; this time we were in town for graduation at Point Loma Nazarene University, and enjoyed our stay. Balboa Park is amazing, and we attended an organ concert there last time.

Love the Little Italy section of Dan Diego.
Love the Little Italy section of Dan Diego. The Saturday market is wonderful in the plaza. The historic boats on the bay and the waterfront walk is beautiful. It's a pleasant walk to Seaport Village. Our grand daughter loves the carousel. The whale watching tours and dinner cruises are out of the area by the Midway historic ship.

Unlike Los Angeles, San Deigo had really pleasant 'vibes'. The people were friendly and open. Nothing was too far away and it is a beautiful city! It felt totally safe and I love the varieties of stores one street! Loved the thrift store. Really good quality things.

San Diego is so geographically diverse is so many things to do and go. The freeways are easy to use . The Mexican food and seafood is amazing. The beaches are beautiful, especially in Pacific Beach it’s so scenic . The restaurants are amazing shelter Island is a beautiful place to eat and to take a walk. The food is so delicious so many different cultures to choose from . Use Yelp to guide you to where go. San Diego can be very expensive plan your trip ahead of time. I would avoid Tour season April and September is the best time to come to San Diego to avoid the crowd .

A fabulous place!
A fabulous place! Perfect first visit and I hope to have many more. The people are friendly, the food is delicious and so varied and the sunsets and sunrises are so dreamy. Great places to eat: Copper Top Coffee, Oscar’s Mexican Seafood, Board and Brew and really anything near Pacific Beach!
Lovely hotel with a great location in Little Italy. Walking distance to the waterfront, Downtown San Diego and Balboa Park. 3 blocks away from a trolley station. 10 minute car ride to the airport.
The area is awesome, feels very safe at night with plenty of movement (though the room is quiet so no problem getting a good night's sleep). Many restaurants and coffee shops nearby which provide great options for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Room size is OK and a microwave is included. A/C unit working.
Friendly staff.
The hotel is great for a long weekend trip as everything is at your disposal. The location was excellent, right on the beach. The hotel has a rental service of bikes, boogie boards, etc which makes it so convenient. Great restaurants all within walking distance, we even walked to Belmont Park which was a fun!
The hot tub was great too, as many evening it was cool, and having that was a nice way to relax.
The hotel remodel is modern, hip. The lobby is great to hang out and play boardgames, etc.
The location is perfect for central San Diego. Unlike Los Angeles, the city actually has an organic, somewhat historic center with plenty of residential life. Yes, there are a lot of homeless around, but that's California these days, and we never felt unsafe (though we were always cautious). As for the hotel ... well. The staff are pleasant. Beds are fairly comfortable. The continental breakfast is rather spare, but a nice touch. There's a good little Italian joint right across the road.
It was our third trip to San Diego and our stay at Humphreys Half Moon Inn is by far the best yet. We have previously stayed at Mission Beach and in the Hotel Circle. Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island is a great location and not as hectic as other areas. It's an ideal tropical location!
The tropical theme of the resort is great compared to other generic hotels in the area. The entire hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
We arrived earlier than check-in and the front desk representative was able to get us into a room. This allowed us more time to explore Old Town San Diego. She was so friendly and provided us with information on thing to see and do.
We loved the area, hotel and all the amenities it provides its guest. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to our friends and family.
Convenient location; easy in and out. Excellent service from bellman and front desk (Chris). Food availability in the hotel. Close to Gaslamp district, San Diego zoo, Petco stadium and Seaport Village. Amazing view from room. Liked the in room safe and complimentary water daily. Comfortable beds. Pool, deck with ping pong table, fooseball and corn bag toss games.
Great value hotel, good sized room with comfy bed. The Pacific ocean was right at the end of the road which was lovely, went swimming every day and strolling on the beach. Pacific Beach is a good neighbourhood with lots of bars and restaurants and not too bad a drive into San Diego itself. Easy drive up to La Jolla to see the seals and sealions (and the rich folk!)
This is the second time staying here due to the proximity to Petco Park (the sky bridge is the best!) and to the Gaslamp Quarter. It’s the best place. Friendly, clean and comfortable. Spent time at the pool and it was clean and the atmosphere was great. I had a massage there and it was exceptional. This is now my go to hotel when going to San Diego. Thank you!!
This is more of a motel than hotel. The location is convenient right in the hotel circle, convenient to all of the attractions around San Diego. Free parking was critical in the decision to stay here. The room decor was updated, but the bathroom and floors were not the cleanest. The cost was affordable. It was fine for our short weekend stay.
The property is located in The Hotel Circle region of San Diego and there are probably 50 other properties in this area. This area is real close to downtown, the beaches, Old Town and is in beautiful Mission Valley. Lots to do and great value for this property.
Really enjoyed our staying, we had a room sea view and it was simply amazing. Very cool place and atmosphere in the hotel, perfect location to move through PB, 20 mins from San Diego’s downtown.
Stayed here for a few nights as part of a road trip. Hotel is good and very well priced compared to Downtown San Diego, especially for parking. Sort of no frills but certainly did the job fine.
The hotel facilities were excellent! We loved the location! It was close to many things to see and do in San Diego! I loved being able to walk easily along the bay and to the Gaslamp district.
Overall I found my stay to be very comfortable. The room was very clean and the staff was kind and friendly. I would definitely come back to the Days Inn at Hotel Circle in San Diego.
Simple hotel, but good for the price.
Staff is very friendly, there is lots of parking and public transport nearby.
Location is very good to go anywhere in San Diego.
