The motel room was clean, the temp control was modern and easy to turn down the air conditioning. The shower really should be updated - it was the only thing we thought was a bit meh. But we would def stay there again. We enjoyed the tikki bar and food was just what we wanted for afternoon snack. Having read prior reviews, WE LOL'd about someone who complained about sand getting into their room. hahahahaha! Seriously?! It's a beach front old style motel which has a lot of charm - there aren't many places left like this. The vibe is totally chill and YES there is sand. Duh. Our room had a little broom and dust bin to brush sand off our feet or out of our room but sand is not an issue for us, it's a benefit. So easy to access beach for our long walks.

The room and building was clean. You can tell eventhough the building is old it has been kept up nicely! No sketchy charaters hanging around, we felt very safe! Who needs a pool when the ocean is 9 minutes away! The facilities and room were perfect for us! The location was great! Super quiet community in a lovely, beautiful town!

New Smyrna Beach is my happy place.
New Smyrna Beach is my happy place. Living in Wisconsin, I prefer cooler weather, but even when it's in the 90's in New Smyrna, it doesn't bother me. There are plenty of hiking trails. Any restaurant that is on the beach is amazing. Twisted Treat is amazing ice cream - never disappointed. Down by Mosquito Lagoon, there's also JB's. Really good food & kayaking. We got to see dolphins and manatees. A lot of New Smyrna is walkable, but anything past the inlet you'll need a car. Avoid Turtle Beach early in the morning, unless you are covered in Deet. We enjoyed the area, however our condo we booked at Ocean...
We enjoyed the area, however our condo we booked at Ocean View unit #502 was very dirty and had bed bugs so we had to call the property management and wait 3hours for them to place us into 2 separate units which made a very bad inconvenience for our family. with saying that they took $250.00 from our payment however we went there with the purpose of being together and this made our trip miserable. We had to split the coast of food and take it to different units and has made quite the finical burden for our family for our family.

The condo we stayed in was a no drive on beach area so it felt very private. Loved sitting on the beach view balcony every morning watching the sun rise over the ocean and again in the evening watching the sun set. The rest of the day we either played in the ocean, collected sea shells and walked for miles enjoying the noise of the waves crashing in. There is a tacos and ice cream little spot on S Atlantic across the street from the Sea Cost Gardens Condos where we stayed…Best soft shell steak tacos we have ever had!! Lastly, I wouldn’t of wasted so much time at home going out shopping for beach wear before our trip. The city is packed with cute little beach shops all over that have everything you need to look cute on the beach. All that time wasted at home and I still ended up buying a few items that I loved way more than what home offered.

My room was beautifully decorated, spacious, quiet, and clean, with a balcony that overlooked the Indian River. Easy access, free parking. Take advantage of the location and walk to the River Park Terrace for a delicious meal, drive no more than 10 minutes to reach New Smyrna Beach, shops and restaurants, 15 minutes to Canaveral National Seashore Visitors Center, 45 mins to Merritt Wildlife Refuge, and about an hour to Kennedy Space Center. Highly recommend.
