This place was amazing!!! Staff were super nice they kept the premises and the rooms spotless. They really take pride in taking care of the property. If I have to stay anywhere again I will definitely stay at studio 6. The surrounding location was a little sketchy but they made me feel safe and I have a toddler with me so that is a big plus.. I’m so greatful for the hospitality at this place.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel, impressed by its cleanliness and modernity. The staff were notably helpful and kind, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. While conveniently located within a 10-minute drive from tourist attractions, the hotel's industrial surroundings meant scenic views and walkable destinations were limited. However, the short drive to attractions, combined with the hotel's reasonable rates and new facilities, outweighed these minor inconveniences. Although not the most scenic location, for those prioritizing cleanliness, affordability, and convenience, this hotel is an excellent choice.

Hotel was in a great location with the bars and restaurants of Gaslamp district and trolley stop only a couple of mins walk away.
The room was well equipped with a coffee machine, fridge, safe and large TV, even the windows opened which is a rarity in hotels these days. The beds were so comfy, you literally just melted into it which was bliss after a days sightseeing.

I am not familiar with national city but it's super close to TJ the Mexican border. If you don't want to stay in Mexico it is a very short drive and very convenient. It is also very convenient to drive from national city to the heart of San Diego.

There is a lot to do for Harbor tour, Soo, Beach, and Midway Carrier Museum to just name few. Be aware that parking can be a pain and recommend spending the extra few bucks for the valet services in the area your visiting.

I was born and raised in National City...it will always be home in my heart. Although it has "grown up" too much for my personal taste, it's still a great place. Check it out! I don't think you will be disappointed.

Location is awesome, almost dead center of every place you want to go to or see. It's not the fanciest city but it sure has a lot of bit of everything. Getting to these places is a breeze a d the trolley pretty much runs along the main drag a short walk brings you to the center of N.C. So many different cultures in one city mames it hard to decide what to eat. I highly suggest Royal Mandarin, Napoleans Pizza, and Chuck E. Cheese for the little ones is always fun!
The rooms were extremely clean, the bathtub was large and the shower was great. Lots of hot watet.
The TV was large and lots of channels available.
The representative that checked us in was very professional and helpful as well as the the one who checked us out. The property was very clean. I was very impressed with the room. We usually stay at a another hotel, but now I will make this hotel my first choice.
I didn’t eat breakfast at the place. I left the place in the middle of the night and wanted half my money refund. that room was haunted. I was woken up by a dark negative energy twice. Not a pleasant experience and will never stay at the hotel again. The fact that you guys didn’t care about my concern as to why I left. It was not my choice to live. There was a driving force to the reason I left.
As we approached room we had to wait awhile it smelled horribly like bleach we asked for Non smoking room neighbors were smoking all night slamming door very loud up all night as far as the place I enjoyed bed room if it wasn’t for those 2 reasons I would return cause I loved price I’m always in San Diego visiting family
this was my second stay in this hotel, it still provides good service, the room is spacy, well equipped, the hotel is in walking distance to a San Diego tram station which allows to get to town within 15 minutes, room cleaning was on demand due to Covid-19, but worked well coffee machine pads were available on request,
The overall property was nice. The view was really nice from the front looking out over the bay. The facilities were accommodating and nice size for two. The kitchen area was clean. Overall it was quite except some work being done next door. Luckily it was the last night stay.
First entering the hotel disappointed me a lot. Looks old and not very clean. The reception, elevators very old and not clean. But inside the room is good and clean. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. Breakfast was good in Covid19 situation
I love how lit up the whole area is. It was very well lit. I was traveling alone, and I really appreciated the lighting and security cameras. It was a nice stay. The light over my bed needed replaced though--easy fix.
I really like the property really clean staffs greets you. I love the breakfast. Everything is close by the hotel no need to drive far beach is close by. I’ll comment this hotel to my friends and family.
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Clean room and friendly staff, always happy to help you with anything you might need. The location was pretty good, close to the highway, easy to get to the city.
Location was about 10min to DT San Diego and to a lot of places we wanted to visit. It was super easy to get to and from! There were a also a couple cute places close by like the Market on 8th.
The cleanliness of the hotels rooms staff was extremely friendly.... When we arrived we were upgraded to a balcony room that was a very nice surprise. Big room comfy bed.
