My party got a room with two double beds. The size of the room was good. The location of the motel was close to the highway, but we did not hear any sounds from the cars. It was very easy to get to Akron and Cuyahoga national park.

This hotel was in a convenient on-and-off freeway location. We were able to reserve same day, right from an app, as we were traveling. The best part was definitely the varied breakfast choices - both cold and hot. Great way to start the next day of traveling. Room was clean, quiet, and had all the necessities. Loved that there were Dove products to use in the shower!

I recommend visiting during the summer, as there are few college students present. The streets and sidewalks are very well maintained and there are an abundance of stores and restaurants to frequent. I recommend Over Easy Cafe located in the old train depot and the Last Stop bookstore.

Kent is an awesome town.
Kent is an awesome town. The university has many activities and lots of places to explore. There are hiking and biking trails within in the city limits. Kayaking is available on the Cuyahoga river. There is a vibrant downtown with many restaurants and shopping. The Kent Stage has a venue offering live music. The locals are very friendly and a good source of information. The town is very walkable. A must stop is Ray’s Place. An iconic establishment with great burgers and fries!

We were in town for our daughter's 21st birthday celebration. the location of the hotel allowed us to walk downtown and to resturants. We had a great stay. The hotel was busy with visitors and wedding, but it was still quiet at night.

Only liked location and price.
Only liked location and price. I booked a handicap accessible room. When I arrived, I was assigned to a room on the 2nd floor (no elevator), then was given a room at the far end of the long smoke stench hallway. The hair dryer didn't work, the table lamp had 1 of 2 working bulbs with no switch, the wall safe was broken on the floor. There was a burn hole in the bed sheet and food crumbs on the bed spread, black scuff marks on the wall near bed, no facial tissues in dispenser, no coffee, cups, sugar or creamer. Only 1 of 2 key cards worked, the water was so hard, the soap would not lather. Breakfast consisted of a stale wrapped pastry and terrible coffee. The rear outside security door was never locked. The hallway and room wreaked of stale second hand smoke. This was all reported to the desk clerk and noted. ABSOLUTELY the worst motel I have ever been to in 50 years of traveling! I only wish that I would have taken pictures to pass on.

Kent has really been built up since I went to school here a long time ago. It's kind of a shame that some of the old places that made it unique have been replaced by fast food chains, but I guess that's considered to be progressive.
The campus is still nice, and the landscaping was outstanding. The little park near the bridge over the Cuyahoga River is nicely maintained and the town is quite walkable.
It was great that a short walk to Kent Stage where I went to see Shaun Cassidy. Bonus - Monday morning Shaun and his keyboard player got on the same elevator after their morning working. Yes my brain cells froze and unfortunately no photo since he was in workout mode but the memory will be in my heart forever!
There was no breakfast except for coffee. I would have stayed elsewhere if I had known there was no free breakfast. There were other motels in area but by the time I found out upon arrival my booking was non refundable. The room was as expected for a motel. Nice to park in front of room door. Staff was pleasant.
Check in was fast. I was given a lower level room that I asked for as I was traveling with my dog. Rooms were clean, towels were very soft. Heating system worked well and was quiet. In room refrigerator kept food cold. Bathroom had more space than another hotel I stayed in.
The property was disgusting there were roaches hotel would not clean my room and change the bedding it had cigarette burns and urine stains all over the pubic hairs all over the place is absolutely disgusting and should be shut down
Very nice hotel with all facilities needed with a perfect location for getting around downtown Kent. Walking distance to pretty much anywhere you needed to be.
