The location is great if you need access to USMA. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the main gate and it is an easy drive. There is a very small gym, which is better than no gym, but it is not fancy by any means.

Location was atop a hill overlooking Hudson River to the west- perfect sunset views. Short, wooded hiking trail adjoining property. Great dinner at Apropos, on site restaurant.
Inn on the Hudson boasts 53 non-smoking rooms and a complimentary grab-and-go breakfast. Property-wide WiFi access and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels are provided.

Breakfast was dreadful, TV didn’t work, smelled of disinfectant, one light didn’t work. Staff was pleasant.

Clean and comfortable and it is 'homey' having your landlord upstairs in the house. Hue (landlord) is very knowledgeable on the area, resturants etc.

only 1 restaurant for dinner-food was amazing but soo expensive! Wish there was another choice on site, but there were typical places available in town. Breakfast was the usual choices-very good. Lunch was available but we didnt try.nor did we try the spa.
There were trains going by at night but in the distance-we heard them but didnt bother us.
Definitely will be back!

Highland Falls itself is not a very interesting town.
Highland Falls itself is not a very interesting town. The United States Military Academy at West Point is spectacular, and has amazing military history, beauty, musical events, and sporting events. The academy makes the town.
This was the cheapest hotel I could find in the area. In situations such as this, I'm always a little leery of what I may find in terms of condition. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was decent (maybe had been updated recently?), had comfortable beds and smelled clean (sometimes older motels smell funky - mold, dirt, smoke - not this room). Pluses: 2 chairs, a desk, counter space, minifridge, microwave, hair dryer, window facing forest, quiet.
Its proximity to West Point and price relative to the other hotels by West Point, cannot be beat. Though still pricey for current quality.
Note: The owners are taking all feedback into consideration as are renovating all the rooms and, I believe, the outside appearance.
This is a no-frills stay but the staff is courteous and helpful. It is clean and safe.
For a place to crash overnight, you cannot beat it.
We hadn't realized it before we arrived, but the village of Highland Falls had been hammered by floods three weeks before our stay. Folks were well into fixing up the town. We had a great time walking around talking to people about what had happened, and were glad we could support the local economy. The village of Cornwall and Stormking State Park were both nearby and great places to visit as well.
Location close to where I was going.
For Columbus Day weekend, the price was decent. Other hotels in area jacked prices up to close to $500 a night.
Despite most of property being VERY outdated and in need of renovation, the bathroom was very clean.
Manager on duty was a very nice man.
the scenery all around Bear Mountain is beautiful. staff very helpful and kind. food excellent in the 1915 restaurant and hiker cafe. I will be staying here again! Hotel room had everything I needed.
I loved the trails, the zoo,the pool, the paddle boats, the staff and it was nice to be.in the wooded areas I wasn't sure I made the right choice staying in the woods but.it was amazing .
Very close to West Point. This was an older hotel with older decor but clean. It appears they are beginning to update some rooms. Our bathroom was updated. Staff was nice.
