Since there's no continental b-fast offered, ours was very good where we bought it. The high ceiling in the room was a novelty and the mattress was good.

The front desk staff was really kind and helpful upon checking in. The beds were super comfortable! A great value. This isn’t a 5 star property but is an amazing value for the price.

This area is great to learn about how our country expanded and the hard working and courageous people who helped settle it. The countryside is very different from the East and Midwest. Some of the views from bluffs and hillsides is expansive.

Our trip to Gering was wonderful.
Our trip to Gering was wonderful. We found a retirement village called Heritage Estates. We plan to move as soon as we sell our house. Our favorite tourist attraction was Legacy of the Plains. Our favorite place to eat was Romas Italian Restaurant located at the airport. Second would be Wonderful House. It is very easy to get around Gering. There is nothing we would avoid.

I actually spent more time in Scottsbluff; the two towns are literally separated by railroad tracks. This trip was to visit someone in the hospital, BUT, I have been there before, and I should mention that the Scottsbluff monument is great to see. If you like hiking, it is beautiful. They have a neat place to see the Oregon Trail.
Because of the experience at the hotel, I checked out and went to the Hampton Inn and I had a great room, good breakfast, and it was a much better location.

The little town of Gering was fine.
The little town of Gering was fine. The Balloon National Fest was a Big disappointment. One evening event. Area too small
for the number of balloons which was about 1/4 of total ones there. Would not go there for another one.

Centrally located in the panhandle of Western Nebraska on the North Platte river. Great place to explore the Oregon and Mormon trails. Located on major US and state highways. Good lodging and dining opportunities.

We went to visit Family.
We went to visit Family. While we were there, we enjoyed the air balloon championships. It was a lot of fun. Good food, entertainment and the Balloon Night Glow was really cool to watch and enjoy. Cute little town, it was.
So, this is one of the best 'older hotels' I've ever stayed at. It's been completely refurbished and is extremely clean. Staff is wonderful. Funny thing is, you'd never realize it from the 1960's look of it on the outside. I was interested because the reviews at TripAdvisor and Booking.com were both very positive. Well, add me to the list! If you really don't want to pay the big-name hotel prices in the Scottsbluff area, and like quaint hotels, give them a try. I got the best night's sleep there!
Breakfast was fantastic! Every single staff member was warm and friendly and helpful… I mean they definitely exceeded expectations ! I know that hotel is not exactly brand new anymore, but it is beautifully cared for. I rented a pet-friendly room; it was perfectly clean with absolutely no indication of another pet having been in that room; that’s how well they clean. I also appreciate the doggie waste bags at the south doors. Really nice experience
The manager went all out to help me get my baggage to the room in the rain. :) The hotel is an older one that has been upgraded. Room was small but adequate, the sink and tub were dated, avocado green sink and dusty pink tub but the whole room was neat and clean. There were extras like real coffee grounds for the real coffee maker. Real cups and saucers! I would stay there again and recommend to friends.
Stayed for one night to visit Scottsbluff Monument. This hotel was very conveniently located nearby. There room was pleasant, as was the breakfast, and there was a nice place to sit in the lobby with a coffee machine.
Don’t be put off by the location and surrounding buildings. This hotel is a hidden gem. Rooms are spacious with lots of extras included. Very homey inside. We’d definitely stay here again. Be sure and check it out.
We stayed here one night on our way to visit Scott’s Bluff National Monument. It is a great location for this site. The hotel was clean, quiet and we had a nice one night stay.
It was clean, comfy, great breakfast, exactly what we needed to get a good night’s rest before a long drive to Utah. Will stay again when visiting family in Gering.
Beautiful hotel! Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Manager Joe made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. Highly recommend!!
