Love Gainesville! So much to do! The botanical gardens are lovely, and we loved 4th ave Food Park! YUM. Celebration Pointe is a nice area and Hana and Spurrier's are great restaurants. Definitely a foodie town. Piesano's is great for pizza and drinks. I wouldn't go back to Dragonfly Asian restaurant.

I was only there for the NHRA drag racing at the Gainesville track so didn't have time to see anything of Gainesville. But the Red Roof was very convenient for Gainesville Raceway, only 15 miles away so I would definitely return

Getting around Gainesville is very easy.
Getting around Gainesville is very easy. There's lots to do there. We visited the Butterfly Exhibit but did not have enough time to see the Museum of Natural History or the Art Museum. No lack of dining options. We chose to dine at Carabbas and both the service and food didn't disappoint. Lots of places to shop. With the University of Florida located there, it provided for a very youthful environment which we totally enjoyed. This is a town worthy of a visit.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. On Archer Rd and around the I75 exit, there was every store/resturant you could imagine. Gainesville is definitely a college town. Shands Hospital is wonderful and very conveniently located.

Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour.
Loved university of FL! We went for a college tour. While our walking tour was cancelled due to rain, the students did an excellent job speaking and telling us about the highlights of the school. We were lucky to have spent time walking around the day before. It’s a beautiful school. Very impressed. Also….Sweet Pete’s candy shop was awesome!! So much fun to walk through a 3 story candy shop! Beautifully decorated for fall/Halloween! Yummy too! 😍
The room was cleaner than we expected to find after seeing the very worn lobby, elevator, and hallways, and the bed was clean and very comfy. Very accessible location from I-75. Grateful for the effective room darkening shades on the windows, since the outside of the hotel was brilliantly lit... We also appreciated that it was about the lowest priced room in Gainesville! Breakfast did include waffle maker.
Nothing fancy here, but it was clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. We were desperate to find a hotel near the Gainesville airport because our flight to Ft. Myers was moved to Gainesville. Apparently there was a very big college football game which filled up all the big name hotels. We only needed a place to sleep one night, so this one did the trick. We have no complaints.
I can not thank the staff enough on making us feel as much at home as possible, as we were traveling to Shands hospital to undergo a major heart surgery (lvad) to keep him alive until a heart transplant becomes available! they were all so kind, friendly, funny, accommodating! we will be staying with this hotel every travel to Gainsville! thank you all so very much!
Room is so dirty. They replaced a/c but did not clean properly. They left the broken a/c in front of the door.
2. Somebody used toilet and did not even flush the shit. They gave that room to us.
I stayed in Extended stay in Stuart (for 2 months) in florida in 2010 and we never had a complaint.
Gainsville experience is the worst in my travel.
I was there to ride the trails of San Felasco Hammock Preserve. The hotel was only 20 minutes away, yet located near many great places to eat and visit. The indoor pool was a big plus as most the other hotels in the area had outdoor ones. I'll definitely be staying here again whenever I visit Gainesville.
this is a newly built hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The room was really big with a little couch and desk. The continental breakfast was very good with many options. It is located in downtown Gainesville so it is close to everything.
For a room near UF during move-in weekend, the price for the room was about half of other properties. The front desk person was nice. Checking/out was quick. The allowed us to check in early. The bed was comfortable. The TV worked (Dish).
View of lake and balcony. Could have been a fabulous hotel. Nice furniture and accessories in room at one time but not maintained. Pleasant and keen to please staff. Allowed us to leave a day early after hurricane without penalty.
The location was just off the hwy. and the room was big enough to accommodate a family of 5(2 adults, 3 kids,13,10, and 10). It was relatively cheap compared to other nearby hotels. Continental breakfast fed 5 of us just fine.
Room was new and modern, beds were very comfortable.
Restaurant was nice... Swiss Burger and red sangria were amazing.
Hotel is well located.
Front desk clerk and bellmen get a 12 out of 10 rating.. super staff.
Great location near Main Street bars/restaurants and only 25 minute walk down University Drive to stadium. Free parking at hotel, but 2 blocks east toward campus some lots were charging $20 to park for game.
The breakfast was excellent, hot and well presented and the 2 room suite was very comfortable and the location near the pool gave us a place outside to sit
Always enjoy the go bags when travelling
Was in Gainesville for a Festival and the hotel was in better shape than at my last visit 10 years ago and was fine for my needs. Was better than what I expected after reading the reviews
Great service ftom management. Was very pleased over all. Nice place to stay in Gainesville. Their pool is clean and available. Extended my stay with my girlfriend 3 more nights.
Great location for what I needed. Which was to be In downtown for work. Not near UF campus. Lovely breakfast and an easy transition for a weary traveller
