We recently spent two days in Custer, SD, and it was fantastic. Custer is a perfect base camp for taking in all the surrounding sites including Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Custer St. Park wildlife loop, and the Custer St. Park Sylvan Lake area including Black Elk Peak-Little Devils Tower-Cathedral Spires hikes.

The room was cozy, we didn’t need a lot of space, it was perfect. Wish we had more time to walk around the property. They have several outdoor games. We had breast the Feel Good Restaurant next door, very convenient

Initially, we had booked stay in various towns, but changed this and made Custer our main stay. This allowed us a central location, whilst we took days out to State Park, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis and other places, and saved us from packing/unpacking for the duration of our trip!

Great central location to Custer State Park, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, Mt Rushmore. You can get a decent meal. It is not just burger restaurants. Custer State Park has incredible wildlife especially at dawn and dusk. It is as good as most National Parks. The Custer tourist area is the same as any of the others but the buffalo sculptures set it apart. There is also a farmer's market downtown.

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Buffalo Ridge on a recent trip to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, and the Badlands NP. It was the perfect location for visiting all the sites. My only complaint/observation is that the hotel rooms are on the smaller side which made it a bit cramped for my family of 4. We were road tripping and had quite a bit of luggage. The beds were comfortable. The best part was the breakfast every morning. The staff working the breakfast were wonderful and kind! Overall we would stay again!

Another hotel showing it's age a little. Room was pretty plain. It could have at least done with a picture on the wall to liven it up. Having said that it was clean and the bed comfortable so for a one night stop over it was OK. It's very well located being just a short walk to the main street and all the bars and restaurants. The guy on the front desk was very friendly. Breakfast was pretty standard, waffles etc. It wasn't stupidly expensive so we felt that it was value for money.

This place is adorable!!! The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful in getting me checked in early and extending my stay by one night. The cabins are wonderfully maintained. Mine was very clean. The WiFi is strong and the bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect for visiting local sites and the town has excellent eating opportunities. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. And, I would recommend it to any of my friends coming to Custer.

Very well located motel near downton Custer with clean and spacious rooms. Our beds were comfortable and we could park right in front of our room. Breakfast was very good with free coffee available at all times. Staff was very friendly and helped immediately to fix the settings on the heating as it got a bit too cold the first night. Very great value for money for this place.

Eric was an extremely friendly and helpful motel owner, good-natured and full of local knowledge. The hotel's location is also excellent, convenient for both the Custer State Park, Wind Cave National Park and Mount Rushmore. Custer itself is full of small town charm. The price we paid was by far the lowest in town at the time.
