I highly recommend the B&B of Paola. I have never experienced such a warm welcome and continous support. The room was perfectly clean, well furnished, good wifi. The bed was comfortable. The sheets smelled good. I had daily cleaning. I loved the huge fruit plate received for each breakfasts. If you look for a calm place close to the ocean book your accomodation here. Big thanks to Paola, to the cleaning lady, the gardener n the security guard- Yes, there is even a guard.

There is no restaurant.
There is no restaurant. The WIFI did not function, the tv did not function. There was no hot water. The staff didn't respond to any issues just laughed. They could not even provide a receipt. I was over charged and am still seeking a refund and they tried to take money on arrival having said they had taken funds in advance. There were people walking around with 14 inch knives on their belts. The hotel forced guests to wear irremovable wrist bands as if Alzheimer patients. The local beach is unpleasant, which is rare for Zanzibar, which is full with beautiful beaches. There were a group of women sat outside my window all day neither guest nor staff. If you risk booking please be advised that this is a remote location, if there is no scope to go elsewhere you will be compelled to stay. There are many other wonderful establishments on this island catering for all manner of needs and pockets.

Its about and hour and a half from Zanzibar city.
Its about and hour and a half from Zanzibar city.
Nothing much around we found a local restaurant and a grocery about 20min driving from the place we stayed.
You get very small local restaurants on the way and small local shops which we didn't stop and have look.
People are friendly and helpful.
Get your own alcohol from Zanzibar its cheaper.
Don't carry alcohol from Tanzania to Zanzibar as its prohibited but you can buy it from Zanzibar.
Unlike Paje where you get hotels bars restaurants shopping and activities, Uroa is very quiet and mainly has beach hotels.

The hotel is a resort and has everything you could need. We don't bother going in to Uroa as there is no need. We come for the hotel not the nearby town. Beaches are lovely nd people generally very friendly.

The sea and the air in Uroa are just fantastic.
The sea and the air in Uroa are just fantastic. A small danger though - you can meet a jellyfish in the sea and get painfully stinged.
A small walk away one can also find some local shops and some fruit sellers with ripe pineapples and watermelons.. ..and you can buy local sightseeing or dolphin watching trips either right at the hotel or just in beach. Cold drinks are available right at the hotel. So a wonderful place for just a relaxation.. ..if you want to often visit Zanzibar City shops, market, nightlife and sights, then it might be just a bit far.
I would stay there any time again...

This is not a hotel, it's a house at the beach (!), run by a man that is manager, service personel and almost everything else (there are two maids that clean the rooms daily and cook the food).
If you're looking for an AirBnB-like atmosphere, this place is recommendable yet expensive. Uroa beach is not recommendable as there are much nicer ones in Zanzibar.

This hotel is very comfortable and the right one to relax...
This hotel is very comfortable and the right one to relax for a certain time. But there are two issues I did not appreciate very much. First, since the owner of this hotel is Italian and most of the guests are Italian, Italian language is dominating. As if it were natural the whole staff and even the hotel bus tour guide adresses you in Italian. This might give a familiar feeling to the most but not for everyone. Also the menue is rather concentrated on Italian food. This is not what I expected from a stay in Africa.
Second: Amazing is the white sand beach in front of the hotel area. Unfortunately the beach is mostly covered with sea grass. Sometimes they remove the grass to the edges of the hotel area but it comes back with the next high tide. As I was informed they use to bring it out to another place but this did not happen during my stay.
Amazing hotel- we were a group of 6 people and all of us are fully satisfied.
We once had a problem with the water and the staff fixed it in 5 minutes- this is all the bad things I can say :D
The food at the restaurant is great, the staff is very polite and smiling, the rooms were cleaned every day and sprayed against insects. Overall the hotel is great- you wake up, open your door, pass through a frangipani and you are on the beach! Really amazing place for friends or for couples :)
Disclaimer! A 10 rating will probably never be had by me without paying a lot. So, i rate this a solid 7, which in my book, is good to really good.
Hosts were fantastic. Zanzibar was not what i was expecting, and Kau, Shany and Pilly really made my time there more enjoyable.
A/C! It's a must for northerners in the Zanzibar climate.
Food on demand.
Beds were hard. But, they were high-density foam of some sort. I liked the mattresses, but some may not.
The location was perfect, the beach was not overcrowded. Breakfast served in the hotel was very tasty and fresh, especially fruits and fresh juice were brilliant <3 We liked to have breakfast just next to the ocean :) The rooms were clean and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Pavel told us a lot about life in Zanzibar and even helped us to arrange some excursions, which were affordable and well organized. Thank you, Pavel!
The hotel was beautiful. Both swimming pools were amazing. The buffet restaurant was great, food was good, with lots of options at every meal. The breakfast in the a la carte restaurant was great too but only went there once as the service was very slow. The staff was very friendly. I kept missing the hotel activities even though there were plenty of them.
The rooms were confy, i liked how it was decorated.
Amazing place to stay in Uroa! Just a few minutes to the beach, the B&B is nicely designed and the pool was also awesome to cool down during the days! Wifi is working well and breakfast was also great with varieties of fresh fruit. Paula is a awesome host, she was very helpful with our every wishes and issues (lost luggage, ferry tickets). And everything at a super price! We definitely recommend this place!
Very quit and beautyfull place. Beach was very quiet. The Staff was very friendly and aways helpfull. They always took good care of us.
Our room was ok, the bathroom would need a renovation, but the rest of the room was very simple but totally fine for us and we did not expect a 4 Star hotel. If you want to relax and don't need the typical touristic spots, this good place to stay.
Wonderful, peaceful place right on the beach, very clean and neat with private garden beach for the property, away from public beach and the bach boys. Pawe, the owner was most helpful in directing me for further exploration of Zanzibar. The staff was very nice and attentive but leaving just the right amount of privacy, not intrusive as is the case in so many hotels.
This is a wonderful resort for a family or couples holiday. We loved it.
Definitely recommend the all inclusive option.
So much activity arranged at the hotel to keep you busy, wondeful pools across 2 resorts.
Access to tours directly from the hotel for snorkeling, sand bar visits, scuba diving and about a 45 minute taxi from Stone Town.
new hotel, we have a room with a view of the pool and the oceans, it was clean and quiet, the staff so friendly , especially “Sofia Said “and the reception so lovely ... there is a station for ordering daily trips and a taxi, “all inclusive “ -worth it, the design is beautiful - I recommend opening a page on Instagram and on Facebook
A great stay ,our stay was absolutely delightful ,good staff from restaurant to kitchen ,clear envirnoment ,wonderfuL hotel far from crowd, the location is beautiful, peacefull and friendly,
special thanks to Dainess,Oscar,Frank,Joseph, and Patrick for the attentiveness,we are highly recommend it for anyone who want to come to Zanzibar
A beautiful hotel in a large area. three pools, four bars, restaurant.
Drinks and food were very good. A very large selection.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The children also had a lot to do, volleyball, game nights, etc
Would definitely go to that hotel again.
Beautiful B&B in a nice, little village. Nearby resorts offer great food and nightly shows. You’ll require a taxi to get to other parts of the island. Excellent place to stay to relax in Zanzibar!
The staff were really kind and helpful it felt like home, not crowded and its a beach front hotel. The area is secluded and far from town therefore very private and good for relaxing.
We are very happy about the hotel,s hospitality. The room was cleaned every day and linen changed. The staff is friendly and very welcoming and always ready to assist.
