A must visit! We ended up at Garden Beach Villas by coincidence after having another accommodation in the area cancelled. We did not expect a lot and were nicely surprised. Our stay was at the small villa which is comprised of great sized bathroom, clean bedroom and large living room area connected with kitchen which, despite being quite basic, is equipped with pretty much everything you need. The outdoor area is of a great size with chairs and a sunlounger - overlooking the beautifully cared for garden which offers direct access to calm and relaxing beach. Our breakfast was served on time and always fresh- we had fresh juice, fruit, pancakes, eggs and bread available. The staff was exceptional-smiley and welcoming always available to help with anything we needed. We were also joined by a family of cats and kittens that made our stay that much more enjoyable. Overall we loved our stay here and would like to thank the team (especially Mati) for making our stay feel like home away from home.

The beautiful and helpful staff are the highlight of Sunshine Marine Lodge. The food was excellent, with a wide array of options to choose from. The spa is a fantastic amenity to the lodge, with lots of affordable treatments carried out by the team of great therapists. Yoga with Ana (who is a fantastic teacher) is also a really great addition to the property and I recommend to future guests taking some classes to unwind from your day and carry you into a chilled evening.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. We absolutely loved every part of our stay. We had the feeling that all employees are happy and satisfied, which made our stay especially enjoyable. The location was great and we loved our morning and evening walks on the beach. The food was the best we had during our entire Tanzania trip. Huge compliment to the chef, he's really talented. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved the little book corner with the games and the afternoon cake and coffee! The owners are very friendly and welcoming and often came by for a chat. Wonderful location just next to beach. Nice swimming pool and hammocks in a shaded area. Clean, spacious rooms with good air conditioning, mosquito nets and staff who treated the room to get rid of insects. The restuarant has a lovely view over the beach and sea, and staff were generally attentive and helpful.

The kindest staff of any hotel I've ever stayed at. They made the experience so stellar. The property itself is beautiful and relaxing - it was so nice to be able to walk steps away onto the beautiful beach.

This area is underdeveloped for the extend of the beach. I am sure it will be developed in time. We found a great scuba outfit 5 minutes from our stay and we could easily manage on tarred roads. There is some new developments going on and there was other eateries nearby. Probably one of the quitest beaches with the most potential!
