Dinner hotpot was a choice of Beef or Pork hotpot (not buffet, but very filling and tasty).
Every room had our own personal hot spring bath which was AWESOME, just need to phone the front desk and they will trigger the hot water to start filling up your bath. Downside is that the water is really hot and you need to mix with cold water to cool it down.
There's also a public gender separated bath.

The room was huge and very clean, and the included breakfast was delicious - the delivery to the room was also a huge plus. Even though my room faced the street, it was still quiet, and it was easy to walk to all the major attractions and bus station in Wulai from the hotel. Plus, having the large, private onsen bath in my room was perfect, I really couldn't have asked for better.

We really only walked to old town one day as we spent a lot of time in the hotel and in the hotel spa. However, in one day we in the village we had great street food, took a tram up the mountain, took a vintage train ride, went for a long walk, and we loved our hotel Volando Urai.
We didn't get a chance to go to the indigenous museum which looked great. We will visit Wulai again!

Wulai is such a fun, quaint town.
Wulai is such a fun, quaint town. It was a peaceful get-away for our family, but also had activities nearby that our kids could enjoy as a family. The Yun-hsien was one of our kids favorite areas to visit. We took the small trains up to the gondola, and took the gondola the rest of the way. It is not handicap accessible, and there are many stairs to climb at the end, if you have troubles with climbing. YuN-hsien itself had quite a few attractions that were closed, but I think there was enough for it to still be an enjoyable time. We enjoyed the scenery of Wulai, the laid back feel and trying the local food. If you are looking for a relaxing spot to get away to enjoy nature and rest, I would highly recommend Wulai.

Wulai is a fantastic break from Taipei.
Wulai is a fantastic break from Taipei. There are a lot of places to eat andI mostly just sampled street food. The hot springs are the main draw so go for the views and stay in one of the resorts. Please note that many resorts are up a winding hill. Walk through Wulai Old Street until you find concrete stairs then follow those up. It’s either the stairs or a long, steep walk following the road. Take some time to check out the Atayal museum as it is very interesting (and free). I hope to go again next time I’m in Taiwan.

Loved the fresh mountain vegetable stir fry!
Loved the fresh mountain vegetable stir fry! I came primarily to bird and enjoyed seeing quite a few bird species (and two species of monkey) but also enjoyed the scenery and would have loved to have had more time to explore different trails. and swim. Most people were friendly and I was fortunate to come on a day that was not a holiday or weekend-- it would have been crowded! The town is very charming and for those who love nature, there is much to explore.
Ms. Lan and the female employee who checked us in are excellent, and the room was clean and tidy.
The location of the hotel is also very convenient as it is easily accessible by bus and there is a bus stop nearby. Additionally, for those who drive, there is ample parking space in front of the hotel.
During our stay, we enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hotel room, and Ms. Lan kindly offered us some delicious fruit. We appreciated her thoughtfulness and hospitality.

The hot spring bath in the room was great (it's what people go to Wulai for). The bathroom was big.
The TV has a crazy number of channels.
The breakfast was pretty good. The location is OK; about a 10 - 12 minute walk up hill from the Old Street (use the steps that cut out the road switch-backs).
The owner was nice enough to use a translator for us to understand.
The bath in our room was as-needed to relax, with a view of the mountain peak. The bed was very comfortable and A/C heating works well. Despite being able to hear guests in other rooms, I slept very deep after bathing. The hot pot dinner is a huge portion and a perfect evening meal on a cold night. The western (Taiwan-style) breakfast met expectations.
Spacious room with in Hot-Spring Bath. It is a nice place to relax and hot spring bath. Breakfast was light Taiwanese porridge. Love the hotel …all staffs are very helpful. Location to old Wulai town is walkable as I like walking a lot.
There is a 7evelen not far from the hotel.
The Hotel which is actually called Full Moon Spa Hotel is situated amidst beautiful landscape. The food, the rooms and the services were excellent!! It is easily to access from Taipei to get wonderful relaxation for one or two days.
Great balcony view of Wulai, spacious private hot tub inside. The property provided round trip transportstion to the main bus stop in Wulai, but it wasn’t located super close to the Main Street if you wanted to walk.
The hotel is located nearby the Wulai Old Street and not far away from the bus terminal.
It was convenient to have half-board included because almost all restaurants closed after evening.
We have the room on the corner, and the view is just spectacular with the big windows facing the mountain. Restroom and the bathtub (with hot spring water) are spacious.

Private hot spring has a great view and privacy
Very spacious rooms
Nice view from the balcony and dinning area
Kind and helpful staffs
The location of the hotel is wonderful. I liked the diner on the balcony watching the stars with the sound of the river. The room was very comfortable.
