The hotel is very near to the bus terminal, so it's a great option for staying the night if you're coming from Bangkok on a bus and have a ferry to catch the next day. We got a tuk tuk at around 8pm right after deboarding the bus, and it cost us THB 60! There's a seven eleven within walking distance which is open 24/7, so you can always get some groceries, packaged food if you're in the rush. There are several outdoor eateries open late at night but sadly they lack vegan options, though you can veganize various dishes if you're okay with 98-99% vegan food. Seven eleven does have quite a lot of vegan items though, so you can manage dinner/breakfast.

Clean, great location, friendly staff. The property manager took time to talk about the town, places to eat and told me about the special NYE fair in town.

The staff was very friendly. Greeted you and carried your bags. I know that's the bare minimum, but most places these days don't do that.

Laid back small town with plenty of interesting choices for food. Very welcoming people, nice and smiling. There's perhaps not much to do in the evenings, but during daytime you can walk around discovering traditional Thai food and snacks at very affordable prices. On Saturday afternoon and evening there's a very popular and nice street market. The small lake or water reservoir features a great sunset view and a walkway all around the perimeter.

Check your location.
Check your location. The road can be very difficult even for good, experienced drivers. Parts are very steep and narrow with sharp bends and you need to use first gear in places. No mention of this in the adverts and another time we would use local transport as they are used to the conditions and know the roads, especially dangerous when dark and always dark after 6pm so be aware! Very nice beaches and food and some areas have beach entertainment with a live fire show in the evenings. Plenty of activities, we enjoyed kayaking on the beach. There are viewpoints marked for excellent photos. Would like to stay longer next time.

Great guest house, but id recomend more than one night ( which people usually do before hitting the islands). Trat is a lovely old traditional Thai town, with lovely old buildings and super friendly locals, how Thailand used to be before mass tourism.

Trat is a very interesting town with lots of surprising history. The lake side area is very pretty, and the museum is really good. the town is very confusing to get around and very few eating and drinking places. It's quite industrial and unfortuately our hotel (Trat City Hotel, which was very nice indeed), but way out of town. Very few tuk tuks or taxis and too far to walk to the town and night markets. We hired a motor bike for the one full day we had in Trat. our hotels' restaurant 'Harprs' was excellent but the only one around so no choice for our 2 nights. We enjoyed our stay but not memorable....we won't return to Trat on our next trip.

Low key provincial town.
Low key provincial town. Not set up for tourists, and absolutely no hustlers. Great local market, nice back streets. Locals are really into exercise, and it was great fun to wander around at sunset and see all the activity! To be recommended as a stopover for stocking up before or after going to the islands.
The place indeed feels like home. It's dead quiet and you can hear all the birds and nature around, a few good food options within 15-20 minutes walk. Owner arranged us a pick up from Trat airport and it was a perfect stay before the morning ferry to Koh Mak.
We stayed at the concrete villa because I was a bit afraid of the mosquitos in the wooden one, but I don't think it's the problem. The whole area seems to be pretty mosquito free.
AC was a bit loud, but worked well and the room was clean.
I recently had the opportunity to stay at Trat City Hotel for one night. Overall, I had a pleasant experience.
Let me start with the positives. The staff at the hotel was outstanding- incredibly friendly and always willing to assist with any inquiries. Their helpful attitude added a welcoming touch to the entire stay!
The room itself was comfortable, and I particularly appreciated the quality of the bed. It provided a restful night’s sleep.
Good value for the cost paid.
The location is fantastic. Everything is within a 10 minute or less walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part about this particular hotel though is the owner, Tuu. He was incredibly welcoming and generous. From the coffee every morning, excellent recommendations, and helping coordinate my transportation to the Trat airport, I felt so well taken care of during my 2 night stay. If I find myself in Trat again, this is the only place I’ll be staying.
Kaew is an exceptional host! She takes great care of her guests and will guide you with really good recommendations of restaurant, spa, taxi, etc. The hotel is ideally located, in the heart of Trat and in a very quiet street. The rooms are very nice, clean with a cozy and careful decoration, we can only recommend spending a night or more!
Starting our trip to go to the islands at Rimklong Hotel was a real pleasure! Thank you so much.
The location of the guesthouse was perfect. It was very easy to find, had free off street parking and was close to restaurants. There was also a very professional massage shop (Reelas) opposite the driveway entrance to Mukdas.
The room was a reasonable size and the bed was comfortable, pleasantly softer than most Thai hotel beds. Checking was fast and efficient and the staff were always pleasant and friendly.
This was a really lovely place to stay with picturesque views along the side of the klong (canal). The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Trat was also a pleasant town away off the usual tourist beat with a fun night market. We had only booked one night to connect with a flight and wished we had planned for more time here.
Our host was extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived quite late in the evening from Bangkok.
The building renovation is excellent. The room was simple, but spotlessly clean with everything needed for a good right of rest.
The old downtown area of Trat maintains its original character and is easily walkable.
Good location within walking distance of the things worth seeing in Trat town.
Good breakfast available
Rooms are cheap as chips!
Owner very helpful - phoned a friend to get me a rental.motorbike for less money than I've paid anywhere else in Thailand…
The location in old Trat is great indeed, especially close to Saturday evening market, the garden courtyard Is cosy with pleasant outdoor seating in front of the room.
Charming place in the heart of Trat.
Great value and great owners who had loads of good advice and a tasty breakfast for a small extra cost.
Highly recommended.
Good value in Trat. Nice staff.
The rooms are basic and old looking, but they are still confortable and it's cheap and in a quiet part of town.
Good breakfast.
