The cabin is absolutely gorgeous, and the hosts are simply amazing people. It genuinely felt like visiting family, and while the location is very close to a crowded tourist attraction, the trees around the property filter out all the noise, so it's an incredibly peaceful and quiet place to stay. There's everything one might need for both a short and a long stay, and I loved my time there. I will for sure return to stay longer and I highly recommend this stay to anyone visiting the area.

We doubted it for a long time before ordering, as the price is not so low. But after watching videos from the scene, we decided it was worth a try. We were met by a magnificent couple of middle-aged people, but with super drive in their souls (Nicoleta and Sergiu) and three lovely friends: 2 dogs and a cat. The home-like atmosphere is a peculiarity of this place. Here are all the fruits of the owners’ creations. The idea is great and unique! Each room has a different interior design. We were staying in two interconnecting rooms. It feels like everything has already been thought out for you in advance. Great homemade breakfast with fresh juice, omelet and meat delicacies. We hadn’t ordered dinner in advance, as we were hoping to have a bite to eat somewhere in the nearest city, but Nicoleta talked us into it, and for that we are especially grateful. Homemade dinner with a decanter of blueberry liqueur and rakia drink, both of Sergiu’s own production, and Nicoleta’s dessert were worthy of an expensive restaurant. At a gorgeous sunset overlooking the mountains, in a full tranquility, Sergiu heated the sauna and the barrel-shaped pool. It was simply fabulous! The reality exceeded all expectations.

The "common" space. Precisely: a luxury renovated barn, with projection tv, museum of old phones and tv's is extraordinary. The house where you have bathroom and bedrooms (there are two - we were in one) is a blast of the past, with modern comfort. Very very nice. The owners put ther soul energy and money in what the offer. Congrats, perfect hosts!!!

Beautiful, quiet area with a lovely view on the Fagaras mountains, lots of fortified churches within an hour drive.
We drove and hiked to the Negoiu cabin and visited also a waterfall around there.
We ate every evening at the place where we stayed (Pensiunea Negoiu) as the food was very good, and the atmosphere in the garden was lovely.

Porombacu de Sus is a great village to start if you want to...
Porombacu de Sus is a great village to start if you want to hike in the Fagars mountains. From here you can hike to the Negoiu peak on the nordic west face. Also, you can reach the Negoiu cabin but pay attention that the road to the cabin is pretty long and if you have the possibility take a car, after a drive around one hour you can park the car on marble quarry and starting from there you have around two hours hike in the summer conditions to the Negoiu cabin.

Such a lovely cosy and very comfy treehouse, you feel totally private but with the peace of mind the main house is just across the garden. Lovely little details all around and everything we needed for a couple of nights. We used it as a base to drive the Transfagarasan Highway and do some hiking before heading off to Braşov. Mihai was so hospitable and friendly, nothing was any trouble. I would highly recommend to others wanting a bit of peace in the woods.

Porumbacu de Sus is a charming mountain village conveniently located as a base for trips to the Fagaras Mountains. We drove to the Balea Waterfall, walked from the cable car to Balea Lake and took the cable car down. The views were spectacular. I definitely recommend hiking in this area if you want to get a feel for the place. Be aware that you could bump into bears, so it's better to go with a guide, or in a group. We had dinner at Brukenthal restaurant in nearby Avrig. The food was mediocre, but the surroundings are very charming.
