An undiscovered gem of a city at the doorstep of the Carpathian Mountains. Interesting on its own, but also great as a springboard for the explorations of the surrounding mountains, cities, castles, and fortified villages.

We went there to visit family. Otherwise mot much to do or see( sorry). The whole city was dug up to re-do the road structure , so a nightmare to travel both by foot or car( done both).
But you can find cheap, diverse, very tasty food in the city “ pe pietonala” ( as local people call the heart of the city)

The city is very nice and clean, nice friendly people, i enjoyed taking strolls in the municipal park , and in the center is very nice in the evening, very lively.
I ate at Crama Veche in the municipal park, i highly recommend it, very good food, a lot of traditional dishes ( the sausages are amazing - sold by half/1 meter ).
Around the city there are some nice places to visit if you like nature- lacul Colibita. Also 15 km from Bistrita you can find a shooting range which i personally loved.

The location on the maps is not up to date, there is a bad smell in the hotel, the noise of the doors was very strong, at breakfast you did not have too many choices, the beds did not look clean, the bathroom light had a sensor that did not detect you, and the light often stops
The apartment is small but the design interior is extraordinary. The designer was a genius. Everything looks aired and it is fully functional. You have a washing machine and a dishwasher machine a balcony and two desks where you can write or read. The furniture is a combination of metal wood and stone and it is quite breathtaking. There is a public parking space quite close to the apartment and it is close to the city center less than 10 minutes on foot. Definitely the apartment to choose if you want to see Bistrița with maximum two children.
I spent 6 nights and I want to say that the hotel is exactly as it is presented.
Clean and spacious room.
Very friendly and helpful staff (The staff from breakfast can be improved).
The breakfast is normal but extra orders from the restaurant was good.
I am a person who was born in Bistrita and I can say that the location is not very good. But the hotel makes up for it with the services they offer at this price.
I liked the location and the vicinity to the walking part of downtown Bistrita. Very clean and modern looking apartment and we enjoyed it very much. I also liked that it came with a parking spot so we didn't have to worry about finding parking. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Will definitely stay there again.
Basically a fully-equipped apartment with all appliances, cookware and everything one might need in a home. So we literally felt like home, which one cannot often say when staying at a hotel for example. Very comfy beds, quiet place and exceptionally clean overall. Will definitely return as soon as we get a chance.
The staff was really supportive and paying a lot of attention in order to make us feel comfortable. Great comunication and very kind owner! It is located next to facilities, I will definetely choose (and recommend) this stay again for the next trips in Bistrita city.
