We spent 4 nights in Casas do Pinheiro. The apartment is well equiped, and was very clean. The two bedrooms are confortable and it's very quiet. Good location to visit the island if you want to avoid being in Horta (close to the Caldeira, the Capelinhos and some other very nice hikes).
Good communication with the host. We highly recommend this place !
Faial Cottage B&B is situated in Cedros and offers a kitchenette, a terrace. The property has panoramic ocean views as well as garden views and is 12 km from Horta.
Pátio Ecolodge is located in the Natural Park of Faial Island, in a small village of Cedros on Faial's north coast.

Loved everything about it. Beautiful surroundings and very well kept grounds. Everything done was with love to detail and thought through. Staff exceptional helpful. Dinner experience comparable to a star restaurant.
Casa Idílica is located in Horta, 6 km from the city center, and offers a shared lounge and a garden. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio.

Idìlia has welcomed us in her house. She's the kindest person on earth. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the house with the garden and an amazing view on the valley. She has a cute cat
If you are looking for a relaxing place, this is it!!

The boutique 4-star Hotel do Canal is situated in Horta on Faial Island. It is just 100 metres from the beach and offers panoramic views of Pico Mountain and the bay.

The staff were very kind and helped us when trying to plan what to do during our stay, they definitely went the extra mile. Perfect location too.
Set in a 16th century fortress overlooking Horta Bay and Pico island, this Pousada hotel features a swimming pool and regional restaurant. Most of the air-conditioned rooms have views of the marina.

We first had a normal room, but these were really a bit small. For 50 Euro a night extra we got a suite, which is like an apartment and has a separate bedroom and a big balcony. You have a spectacular view on mount Pico and the harbour. The staff are very nice, the building is an old fort and the entire feeling is one of a Spanish Parador. To be honest, I believe this is one of the few luxury hotels on Faial (but I did not visit all the others:)). When you leave, there are plenty restaurants and bars in walking distance. The restaurant of the hotel is also very good, but the menu is very very short and did not change during our stay. We got a later check out without trouble.

Loved that the host provided some basic supplies - coffee, milk, fresh eggs, homemade jam, olive oil. The hot water was plentiful. It was great to have a washing machine. But the view is the best selling point!

We loved Varadouro.
We loved Varadouro. We stayed for 2 nights but could have stayed longer to relax by the pools and swimming inlet. These swimming areas are located amongst the volcanic rock and are just amazing.
The area is very relaxing, the sea could be heard from our accommodation. We had a hire car, which is needed as the area is remote.
There are a few restaurants and cafes nearby.

Nuno is a good host, we had a friendly and warm welcome in Varadouro. A little welcome package was waiting for us with fresh eggs, home made fig jam, some coffee and milk. Nuno give us some nice suggestions for sights across Faial. The casa was very clean, has a great view and all the things you need for a pleasant stay. We did some great hiking across Faial and one day Nuno dropped us off at the caldera so we could hike back to the casa. Varadouro is a small village with a nice fish restaurant and at another place you can get grilled chicken. Along the main road up hill is a very small grocery store to buy bread, some vegetables and other small things. There is also a rockpool for swimming in the ocean, nice for cooling down after a great day out on Faial. We keep Casa do Chafariz in mind for our next visit to Faial.
