Amazing location and very friendly staff! Felt like we were staying with family (only better, lol). That patio? Sipping a glass of complimentary port upon arrival, while watching the sun set and the Douro meander by (all in complete silence) - to die for! The vineyard setting and views are amazing, and the service and quality of food in the restaurant was tops. The front staff was extremely friendly and helpful (e.g., providing audio guide for a walk around the property). A glass of wine, soft music playing, and a view of the sun setting over the hills - what could be better!

The hotel is located in a beautiful wine estate. The place has a vintage feel. The staff are helpful, the amenities are good. It is also easy to reach by car and once inside, there are clear directions to find the different buildings. The breakfast offered was fresh and tasty. They even started early for us since we had to catch a flight. The restaurant is near Michelin level quality and service. The wines on offer were fantastic. The wine info and tasting tour in their winery was also very good. Overall, the price for the quality offered for everything at the hotel is great. Very much recommended!

Wonderful hotel in town of Folgosa, about halfway between Regua and Pinhao. Friendly, English-speaking staff offered a multitude of tips for visiting the area: wineries to visit, restaurants in each area, drives and viewpoints. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was extensive, everything fresh and tasty. Views from the breakfast area and the rooms were beautiful - the river flows just across the street and the hillsides and village across it were wonderful to look at. The road to Armamar next to the hotel is a wonderful walk to undertake with little to no traffic.

The modern LBV House Hotel is inserted in the center of the Alto Douro wine region.
