This was maybe one of the best places we’ve stayed. Breakfast was delicious and the lunch and dinner were filling and tasty as well. The shower had hot water and the electric heater did a lot to warm up the room. It was in a great location easy to walk to town and easy access to the trails in the area. Everyone who worked there was super helpful and welcoming, even though they were busy with maintaining the place as well as the festival. Don’t miss the recommended mirador hike if you’re fit and acclimatized to the altitude.

My recent stay at this hidden gem of a hotel was an absolute delight. Nestled in the heart of nature, it offered a peace and serenity that is hard to find. Surrounded by Lake Titicaca and the soothing sounds of the wilderness, every moment was a refreshing escape from the hustle of daily life.
The family running the hotel were the epitome of hospitality. Their warmth and genuine kindness made me feel like a part of their family, not just a guest. They went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, adding a personal touch to their service that was truly heartwarming.
This hotel is not just a place to stay; it's a haven of tranquility, where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of wonderful hosts. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful retreat.

The place is simple, but also so charming; what made our stay special was spending time with Mario and Julia who were amazing hosts. They took us around the island, cooked dinner, showed us weeving process; Julia also took us to her mom’s house to meet baby lamb.

Llachon is a smaller village on the half-island of Capachica. There is a mirador which can be reached by walking in approx. 45 minutes ... depending how fit you are and if you are already familiar with the altitude :-)

Llachon is a great way to experience Lake Titicaca without having to stay in busy Puno. It is a quiet little traditional town, without much in the way of restaurants or stores. There are lots of walking trails/paths and access to the lake/small beaches, tours still operate to some of the floating islands. The food was all home cooked and grown and it was amazing. Farm animals wander the streets and paths and the locals are very friendly and warm. It was a great break from all the touristy spots and bigger cities we had visited before. Loved our time there.
