Staff was extremely friendly and prepared a yummy and filling dinner for a very fair price. The hot pool is a great treat after hiking to the stay. Everything was very clean. The facilities are basic but do the trick. Room was also very comfortable for spending a night.

A beautiful ecolodge in the centre of the oasis! The rooms are basic but comfortable, the hosts are extremely kind and helpful, and the food is delicious. Cozy and comfortable, a great place to stay after a long day of trekking or to prepare for the final ascent :)

Good place to start your Colca canyon tour.
Simple but very functional. Good location and breakfast.
In Covid times, it was hard to get to Cabanaconde.
In Covid times, it was hard to get to Cabanaconde. There is only one official bus (Andalucia) and it departs from Arequipa very early or too late. There are also collectivos people can take to get there (local buses). Once there, the village is great, people are so helpful and the hikes are amazing!
Please not there is no where to take money out, you absolutely need cash for everything.

The people are really nice.
The people are really nice. I lost my wallet, while paying the fees to get in the park. I went down to Sangelle for one night, and the man (Patricio) who found it, brought it to the tourist place. They called every hotel down to reach me and kept it safe until the next day.
A big thank you!

Hiking Colca Canyon was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Breathtaking scenery with a unique flora and fauna. I highly recommend the hike from Cabanaconde - Oasis - Llahuar - Cabanaconde). Cabanaconde itself is a very small, rural town with lovely and traditional inhabitants.

An incredibly quiet non-touristy destination that we had chosen to get an additional view of the condors without the crowds. It was a great stay for the evening and gave us another glimpse of life in a quiet Peruvian town. People were very friendly and helped us with directions without being asked.

Cabanaconde is a small, peaceful, and friendly Peruvian town...
Cabanaconde is a small, peaceful, and friendly Peruvian town perched on the edge of Colca Canyon, and a perfect gateway to several great hiking trails. Eco-tourism mixes with local agriculture here, and the community seems to be adapting well to the influx of visitors - many new improvements underway.
This hotel feels like a luxury stay at the bottom of the Colca. It's in a breathtaking location filled with banana trees, hummingbirds, animals and of course, the hot thermal baths and hammock with a view,, which are a great reward after hiking down from the Cabanaconde. The rooms are comfy and you'll have a peaceful sleep down here. Meals are decent, includes dinner and a nice breakfast (pancakes). For the price, it's an absolute slice of heaven at the bottom of the Colca.
LLahaur Lodge is very nice facillity situated close to the river. You are accommodated in the simply wooden huts, but there is really warm, no need to have a sleeping bag. We were suprised by large pancakes for the breakfast, it was nice. But the best of this place are three pools with thermal watter ca 38C. It is amazing enjoyment mainly after 6 hours descent from Cabanaconde.
La Posada del Conde is a comfortable and clean old style hotel that's a short walk from the Plaza de Armas. Service is friendly. Breakfast is scheduled to start at 7am but when I wanted to leave earlier Jorge got me breakfast at 5:30. Meals are available and offer a selection of several options from a menu. They stored my bag for four days while I hiked in the canyon.
although staff couldn't find our booking, once we arrive we've also been upgraded and it was very nice to have a bigger room than expected with hot shower. it gets cold very quickly once the sun sets.
They were also able to prepare a quick breakfast for us the following morning at 5am before staring our trek back to Cabanaconde! super nice :)
Beautifully situated place with refreshing pool! The staff were very helpful arranging the transportation back to Cabanaconde since we had decided, after 2 days of trekking, to ride the mules. We were amazed at the skill of the mules to climb such an arduous canyon with us on their backs. Quite an experience!
Jenny does a great job of taking care of guests. Good pool and dinner. Of course, location is right in the oasis. Electicity and lights in the room all the time. Has cold shower. The property went out of its way to deliver clothes we accidentally left behind to our Arequipa hotel - much appreciated!
The best breakfast in Peru, beautiful garden, very clean bathroom with nice cladding and hot shower, Netflix in TV and super friendly and helpful host Manfred. He recommended us tour around Colca canyon with staying in oasis at the bottom of canyon.
It is a good place to stay; not overwhelming but fine. The owner is kind and had a place for luggage while we were on a trekking. Breakfast is rather simple, but then it is like that in many hotels in Peru.
The property was very clean and equipped with modern appliances. We were pleasantly surprised to see that this hotel in a small town even offered hair dryers! The owner was also very friendly and helpful.
The staff were great, friendly and so so helpful! Really nice clean rooms. Breakfast was really tasty and good portion sizes. Good location. Would recommend to anyone coming to Cabanaconde!
the hot springs at night was the highlight of the colca canyon hike, and the staff was super nice and helped us reserve a place in a different location for the next night of the hike.
Leandro worked non stop to provide us with information, arrange tours/bustickets, exceptional service in the restaurant, and much more. He made pachamama the experience that it was!
Good location, on a main square in Cabanaconde. Good showers with hot water and good water pressure. Rooms and facilities are basic but ok. Breakfast included.
Small family hotel with 6 rooms only. Bed are firm and shower are very hot.
Located in the heart of Cabanaconde where you would enjoy the Colca canyon.
