Beautifully clean, very spacious and well equipped. Appreciated the under cover parking with direct access into the apartment if required. The light breakfast provided was perfect for us. Grant and Sandra were welcoming hosts and knowledgable about what was happening in the area.

Just a little note for others that there is no microwave but it does have a full oven and stove and there was no iron that I could see.

I like Whakatane area it has some great shop's, but when were in the Bay of Plenty we spend most of our time in beautiful Matata and Kawerau visiting with whanau. The beaches in Matata are truly beautiful, Matata is another great place to visit it's 20mins out of Whakatane great for fishing.NgahoiaAustralia - 8.0Scored 8.0

Whakatane is great for walkers with plenty of paths and toilets. Its family friendly and very clean. Pedestrian crossings seem to be missing but the locals were great and stopped at all the courtesy stops. We found some great places to eat and notes the town had more than everything you would need. Whakatane has a huge variety of shopping stores, eating...
Whakatane has a huge variety of shopping stores, eating facilities, bars, hairdressers in fact everything really and for everyone. The Hub which is just across the bridge is another shopping area with Kmart and Briscoe being my favourites but again shopping for everyone. Bunnings the huge warehouse is a goldmine easy to get carried away when shopping there. The walkway/cycling lane along the waterfront is an awesome stroll. Accomodation....heaps to choose from....you have to visit to appreciate Whakatane.HoneyNew Zealand - 10Scored 10
