Room was very clean and had enough space to comfortably store two medium suitcases. It had a desk area and a very large and modern bathroom. Bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a short walk from the subway or a JR station. There is a 7-11 store in the basement and a café close by for breakfast if you do not want to eat at their restaurant. It is a little distance to the main Shinjuku attractions but with the Tokyo public transport system at doesn't take long to get anywhere.

Opened in August 2014, this hotel is located just a 3-minute walk from JR Shinjuku Station, offering direct access to Harajuku, Shibuya and Akihabara areas, all within a 20-minute train ride.

The best part of the hotel is its location. Very vlose to metro station and easy check-in check-out option. The room given was very small and the bathroom was too small. But the facilities were top class. They only vlean the room every 3 days. However, they do it on request also. The daily amenities and towels will be delivered to the room daily. They also have public baths and launderette facilities. A good stay.

Location was amazing! 30 minute walk from either Shinjuku or Shibuya, 10 minutes away from the national gardens, right next to the baseball stadium and 15 minutes for Meiji Shrine. It was also right next to a station. You also get views of mount Fuji on a clear day from the roof terrace which was a wonderful bonus. Such great value for money in comparison to other hotel prices in Tokyo.

The location of APA Hotel Sugamo Ekimae is just steps from Sugamo station which makes access to the metro very easy. It isn't very close to the city center so keep that in mind when commuting. I didn't find that there was a lot to do nearby, but the area was certainly quiet and not overly busy. It is conveniently located across the street from a 100 yen shop (similar to a dollar store in the U.S.) The room was bigger than I expected (though still significantly smaller compared to U.S. hotels). We had packages and luggage delivered to the hotel and that went very smoothly. The staff was very polite an accommodating. There is coin laundry on a few floors as well as a vending machine for drinks. There is wi-fi available in each individual room and the TV shows a timer for the washers and dryers (and what floor they're on). It also lets you know wether the bath houses are busy or not. They did provide clothing and shoes to wear inside the hotel as well as a hair dryer, toothbrush, tooth paste, towels, bedding/linens, a mini fridge in the hotel (though I don't think it was cold enough to store leftovers...maybe drinks). There's a money exchange in the lobby on the first floor in case you run out of cash.

Renovated in December 2015, Tobu Hotel is a 7-minute walk from JR Shibuya Train Station and is located at the centre of popular Shibuya area.
