The place is really quiet and the room is comfortable with all the basics you need. The beach is clean and inviting. Although not directly within the view of the sunset, but still a breathtaking - absolutely instagrammable. Staff wore pirate uniforms and were in character the entire time.

The tranquility of the place and small river next to it, you could hear it running at night as tiny town so small, mountains around you, nice to escape the big cities 😀, and the host, this guy nos how to make a kiwi feel at home!!! Visiting Hagi was a last minute decision... so glad we did. Its a great little historic town off the usual tourist track. Rabbit is an amazing host. She met us at the station, gave us a quick tour of town, made dinner reservations for us and then settled us in to the guest house. It is a house, not just a room, and is well equipped and comfortable. Well located for seeing the town. Highly recommended.
