The reception and breakfast staff and the shuttle driver provided great service. My room was airy, clean and bright. Free drinks, amenities and shuttle service to and from Iseshi Station was definitely a bonus.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the Kintetsu and JR train stations. Also there are many restaurants, dessert and tea/coffee cafes, and shops within a few blocks of the hotel. The Outer Shrine is a less than 10 minute easy walk away as are buses that drop off visitors at the Inner Shrine.
The hotel offers a simple breakfast buffet only, but self serve coffee and tea plus several candies and cookies are available during the afternoons and evenings.

Very old guesthouse run by a lovely grandma. The rooms are huge and some have a private toilet. The onsen is small but enough for the capacity of the guesthouse. The location is amazing: at the beach front, and 5min walk along the cost to the Meotoiwa site. There is also a Family Mart not far, to get some food for the breakfast. Private free parking located 2min walk from the guesthouse.
Featuring 4-star accommodations, FAV HOTEL ISE is located in Ise, 4.1 miles from Ise Grand Shrine and 2.6 miles from Oharai-machi.

Brand new, convenient, with nice rooms, though the self-check in and semi-unmanned front desk was a little off-putting. For example, they don't offer storage for your bags if you need to drop them earlier or pick them up later after check out. A small thing, but a huge inconvenience and not what I would expect for a hotel with this many rooms at this price point.

We loved our trip here. Little did I know, I seem to enjoy travelling in a pretty laid-back city and Ise was just perfect for that. If you're craving for a small city experience, out from the other international travelers, I'd recommend Ise for sure.

I visited Ise to see and experience Ise Grand Shrine. I am interested in the mythology about Japanese shrines and also in the Imperial Family system. My parents visited Ise when they were young and I wanted to do the same trip.

IseShi is an important city to visit if you like Shine. There are plenty of Shrines and you will have not enough time to visit this place if you want to explore all of the Shrine. Also don't forget to taste the Ise Lobster and the Matsusaka wagyu beef.

The Ise area has so many positives and sights to see! The temples of course but there is the seaside to the north as well as the natural beauty of the whole peninsula that we would love to see more of, we should have booked for a week!
Ise city itself was very tidy, and clearly well organised and set up for tourism with walking streets and beautiful shops on the main street from station to Ise Jingu Shrine. We would still love to visit the Okage Yokocho ancient street area and all the other temples south of Ise!

Meoto Iwa was a good place, but getting there was sligthly confusing (mostly due to me misreading Google Maps instructions and ending up at a different station =);
Ise's shrines were great, I really recommend Okage Yokocho and the Uji Brigde: perfect for a nice walk with great landscapes and sceneries.
Ninja Kingdom was also an interesting experience, but as non japanese I cannot recommend the Real Life Game; so the time spent there was around half a day. From there, the Meoto Iwa is not far, so I would advise to combine both, if found interesting.

Great place if your looking for a shrine pilgrimage (many shrines in the city), especially since Ise Grand shrine is the most sacred shrine in all of Japan. Many shrines to visit (recommend Futamiokitama Shrine as well). There are many fun shops and restaurants/ food stands around Ise Grand Shrine (Naiku). The downtown area around Iseshi station also has a lovely street of shops and restaurants. Many buses and trains that run frequently to take you to many places.
If you have your own wheels, this is a great slightly-off-the-beaten-path hotel in a quiet neighborhood by the water. Reviewers have said it’s old, which is true, but we found it kind of fun in a retro sort of way. Price was the least expensive of our 7 week Japan trip. On site parking is free. We thought it a great base for exploring the peninsula.
We loved the hotel and the breakfast, the room was lovely and comfy and spacious, quiet, easy to get into. We would stay again if we are in Ise. Staff was also very kind and helpful. And we met a very nice staff member helping with breakfast who spoke English and was very helpful and friendly.
The host, Yuki, is so attentive. We got off from the train 1 station after Iseshi station and she helped us with booking a cab to the property. The property is just as we expected. We can tell they took care of their property pretty well. Thanks for the hospitality, Yuki and family. (:
it was a beautiful Japanese traditional property with a beautiful view of the ocean from our bedroom window. the staff were very kind and welcomed us back every time we returned. it was slightly out of the city center but that gave it an even more enjoyable rural japan feel.
The whole hostel was wonderful! The staff and the guests were super nice and great to chat with (in English or Japanese). And the design of the space! Wooden accents and thoughtfully designed bunk beds made it feel really cozy, and private (when that's what I wanted).
Delicious breakfast, friendly owner who served us great food and gave us lots of advice on traveling around Ise.
The first floor operates as a bar at night where you can get dinner, which was extremely helpful as there were no other eateries around that were open
The staff is very friendly and caring. They facility is and old charming ryokan, and actually whole place felt magical. Even the outside noises were not able to spoil the charm of this place.
If I ever come back to Ise I'm for sure try to book this place again.
Neat business hotel right in front of the Ise station, short walk from Outer Shrine of Ise Jingu. Clean and comfy, great for an overnight stay. Staff spoke limited English but were very friendly. Baggage was stored before check-in behind the front desk.
It’s a nice, cute place, quiet as well. I had a nice and Comfortable room with a nice view on the sea. Enjoyed the small onsen. Close to the beach, close to the wedded rocks, close to the station and easy to get from there to Ise shrine. Friendly host!
It was super clean, and the staff was SO KIND and accommodating. It was also in a quiet part of Ise while being close to all the train lines. Super convenient and is a 5 min walk from the outer shrine along with many cute cafes.
An absolutely brilliant location, great for getting to the Naiku Jinja, or inner shrine, early in the morning to beat the crowds and/or catch the sunrise.
The host was wonderfully kind and I loved the old house. Very fun.
It was ordinary Japanese family type breakfast (miso soup, baked and rolled egg, grilled salmon with potato salad plus small salad, pickles, green tea) and I liked it very much because I miss it in my daily life.
It looked like the hotel had been renewed recently, so the interior was very nice and modern. The staff were friendly and the laundry was free to use (nice). ¥100 for the dryer (10 mins). Price was decent.
The location of the hotel is great, opposite to the station. The dinner is fantastic as well. Love the sashimi and beef, as well as the beer and sake tasting set.
Amazing option to stay and sleep over while visiting Ise and exploring the region. Very caring host providing a great experience and ensuring a pleasant time.
