Walking distance to the beautiful historic center (and fortress) of Sarzana, a town I had never heard of and I wonder why it is not more famous. Many restaurants all within walking distance from the accommodation. Very nice owners gave us great recommendations and made us feel like we are friends of the family. Public parking across the street. Only 10 minutes walk to the train station from where it is a short train ride to Cinque Terre so we enjoyed those little towns without the headache of doing that trip by car.

There are great options for breakfast in the vicinity, as well as several restaurants for dinner. It is a short distance to the train station, it is possible to travel by train to La Spezia. The landlady was very helpful, advised on restaurants, recommended traveling around the area. We would love to come back here again.
