It is a beautifull house in the country side under the Etna. Surrounded with vineyards and olive gardens. The property is big and relaxing. The host is very nice and helpful. The pictures don’t describe how pretty accomodation really is. It’s between Piedemonte Etneo and Linguaglossa which are also nice and pitoresque. Only 30 min by car from Taormina. Accomodation has everything you need. Parking is private inside the property and protected with big gates. We had a wonderful stay that was made even nicer by the really polite host.

Lisa’s home is in a beautiful village just 25 minutes drive from Taormina and also close to Catania. Lisa is a wonderful host. Upon arrival she provided lots of food (fruit, meat, eggs, baked goods) for breakfast. The kitchen is also well equipped if you want to cook yourself. The house sleeps 4 comfortably. One bedroom has an en-suite and there is a large bathroom with a shower on the main floor. The parking is super easy. If you are driving this is a wonderful place to stay -away from the crowds of Taomina. The village has cafes, pizzerias and groceries. There is also a Lidl (large supermarket) not far away. We drove towards Etneo Nord but the best views were actually from Lisa’s balcony. There is also a patio off the living room with a table and chairs. Lisa also baked fresh cannoli for us- it was the best I’ve ever tasted!!!!! She also gifted us souvenirs when we checked out. I would definitely return to stay at Lisa’s home in Piedimonte Etneo!

The hostess Pina and her husband were great. Nothing was too much for them. The view from the garden was spectacular! Left the sea. Right the Etna. Because it is their winterhome they rent out, all the amenities you could possibly need, are there. Great wifi and good comfortable bed.

The breakfast was just some brioches/biscuits in the kitchen and coffee. I read somewhere that breakfast is included and you should go to the owner's bar, but we never got offered that option.

If you are looking for a discreet and clean location, Piemonte Etneo is perfect! An important thing to know is that you will have to rent a car from the airport because there are no buses or trains in that area and taxis are expensive! The nearest beach is a 15-minute drive away and Mount Edna is about an hour away!

Is easy to admire the paths and efforts of a lifetime in every detail, but the countryside, next to the oldest houses, remains almost untouched. Some towns are well preserved, and the magic of the Etna village overlooking the Mediterranean makes the entire place worth the visit.

We liked everything about the place starting with friendly staff, location with a wonderful view on Etna's slopes, facilities including well kept pool, the fact that on the grounds they have plenty of trees (olive, pomegranate, almond, fig, oak etc) and ending with nice breakfasts. Overall Il Glicine deliveres fantastically if you don't want to stay in one of the busy and crowded seaside towns, have some space and yet be relatively close to the coast. Good destination if you go with children.
Lovely villa outside the quiet town of Piedimonte Etneo. The villa has everything you need, from kitchen utensils to children's toys. Mario and Simona (the hosts) were very welcoming and made our stay perfect in every way; transport to the supermarket, travel advice, fruit from their large garden. If we ever return to to Catania we won't be looking for other places to stay!
the dinner and breakfast was delicious! Our waitress at dinner was extremely sweet, helpful, and very informative as we are not familiar with Italian dining she was very keen to teach us about every dish. The hotel provided robes, house shoes, and lovely shower soaps. The air con was a great plus!
The setting is completely beautiful - stunning views from the restaurant and pool. It's a really special location between the sea and Mount Etna. The hotel is beautifully designed. Staff were helpful and breakfast was very nice, with a good selection.
exceptional location to visit etna. very nice rural 'feel' of the apartment, which fits perfectly with agriturismo concept. very close to supermarket. amazing view from terrace and very relaxing place
Nicely decorated rooms, restaurant and hotel overall.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice outdoor space with stunning views to mount Etna and the sea side.
