This was a brilliant apartment and stay. Anna Marie, the owner, met my wife and I on arrival, welcoming us with beer and cake. She was a friendly and dedicated host who had thought of everything in terms of equipment and the needs of the holiday maker. She gave us information about restaurants and walks, even providing free umbrellas for the inevitable rainy day ! When we left she went out of her way to drive us to the railway station in another village !The apartment is on a quiet street, with restaurants and bars, but only 50 metres from Lake Iseo. The level of equipment, security,cleanliness and comfort made it home from home and the perfect choice for our Lakeside holiday

The host was super helpful, kind and welcoming.
The place is super quiet and clean. Recently renovated probably which is a rare thing for Italy. Our room was a little bit smaller than I thought but the bathroom fixed it all. It big, light and modern. (There are no shampoos btw)
There's no view from the room because the windows are high up under the ceiling, just be prepared for that. We stayed for 1 night only so it didn't matter for us :)

The views of lake and the hills were out of this world. However, mid April the Isola ferrry services were not running, and some restaurants were closed. Great Sanctuary on top of the hill for a steep walk. Good choice of places to eat or have aperitifo. Brilliant lakeside board walk. Good public transport, but few bus services in the evening. Views and people exceptionally friendly and welcoming A wander around the old town is easy If your good with heights climb up the tower in town the views are amazing and it’s completely free As is a visit to the basilica not far away is jaw dropping with its painted ceiling. The guide in the fabulous basilica was charming The lake transport was easy to use and not expense Just remember some insect protection when sitting by the water at certain times. Monte Isola was fun, and so was our trip to Bienno.
Monte Isola was fun, and so was our trip to Bienno. We had looked forward to hiking the Via Valeria, an ancient Roman road, but parts of were asphalt with cars. Traffic was heavy. Nevertheless the mountains are dramatic and beautiful. Romanino's artwork in the small church in nearby Pisogne was fantastic! If you're looking for good food in Lovere, try the restaurant called Arte and also Caffè Caprini--delicious!Hastings - 6.0Scored 6.0
There's something in the hotel that I didn't like.
There's something in the hotel that I didn't like. First of all, I booked a room for two and then one single for my teenage daughter. And it was on booking.com. But at the check-in it turned out that "in their system" it was only one double room for one and one single room. Again, it was the same with the spa access - I had to pay extra. So, the tip for the travellers - check in advance maybe write to the hotel beforehand and check what the rate includes.ElenaItaly - 8.0Scored 8.0

Nice little village at the top north of Lake Iseo. The lake is very beautiful and much less crowded as compared to Lake Como or Garda. There are beautiful hikes from the village but the mountain path is in bad shape. The village and lake front are beautiful. Only downside is that there is no lake cruise running from this village until summer school holidays begin. So if one wants to travel across the lake, it's better to stay at any village in the middle of the lake. The village opposite side the lake, Pisogne, is very beautiful as well. In fact, even more beautiful than Lovere in my view. Overall, a good stay for a couple of days there.BirendraUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Beautyful city, very romantic atmosphere and quite an old town for a sightseeing trip. I definitely recommend this place for a visit for a day or two. I got evertwhere on feet, you don't a bicykle nor a car. Just prepare for some steep hills to get to the old town. I mostly recommend seeing Basilica st. Maria, st. Giorgio church and seeing a beautiful landscape from Civic Tower or the historical old town.

It was very clean and offers all the necessary facilities for our stay. I would say it had been recently refurbished. The owner was extremely friendly and responded very quickly when contacted which was helpful before and during our trip. I would highly recommend this apartment to couples or a family of three. The balcony looks out over the town of Lovere to the lake and stunning mountains. Our host was very pleasant and she surprised us with the free use of her 5 bicycles. This really made our holiday extra special, enabling us to explore the wonderful local area. There is plenty to see and do here, and the town has lovely restaurants, bars, swimming pool. canoe hire and walks.
