My mom and I really enjoyed our stay at Podere Rondinaio. Luca, Anna and Manuela were incredibly helpful, thoughtful and kind. The location was just what I was looking for, a little bit off the beaten path near to trails where you could go for a walk among olive trees and vineyards. Breakfast was outstanding, with lots of delicacies that they had made themselves. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Tuscan landscape and as a great base to visit Luca, Vinci, Pisa, Florence and many other beautiful places within an easy driving distance. The only thing worth noting for guests is that it is not always possible to have dinner on site as the kitchen is not always open, so it might be necessary to drive a few minutes to someplace else. This is not a negative, just something worth knowing.
Set in the Montalbano Hills, La Casa Medioevale is surrounded by countryside. All rooms have handmade terracotta tiles. At the winery you can taste Italian and Tuscan wines.

Welcoming host, lots of space, terrace, all kinds of equipment in the kitchen, huge beds, wooden window frames (feel nicer than plastic).
The beauty of the place is increased by a number of small details: nice curtains at the front door, flowers skillfully drawn at the walls, window curtains with cute tissue flowers and butterflies, plump sofa in the hall, little decorations here and there. We saw many philosophy books, including Aristotle, it's a pity we don't speak Italian, otherwise we would catch up on our reading.
Moreover, the owners left us a sweet present on the dining table, which tasted really sweet and it was very sweet of them.

Lamporecchio does not offer very much apart from " brigidini" local sweets, a visit to Pasticceria Carli is worthwhile . The village is pretty dull and rather modern in spite of the fact that it is cited in the Decameron written in the year 1300 d.C. by the famous Italian novelist and poet Giovanni Boccaccio.

When we wanted to go outside for a dinner, we used to go to Vinci town, which is perfect for walking, a little sightseeing (Vinci is a hometown of Leonardo da Vinci, thereis a museum dedicated to him).
Hotel staff were friendly and had plenty of choice for breakfast, with meat/cheeses, fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cakes/pastries. Paid for private parking behind the hotel which was a good idea at 5euro per night. Enjoyed having a swim in the pool after been out exploring Tuscany. Hotel in a quiet area of Tuscany up in the hills, apart from the clock bells that chime early in the morning and finish late into the evening.
We were here for the 7th time, as usual, it felt very sad to leave. Hotel Monti is an experience in many different ways: geographical, historical, culinary, and because of the many other possibilities such as swimming in the pool, hiking in the mountains, biking and of course side seeing.
On the top of everything: the owners! They become our true friends! See you soon, Daiana and Francesco!
One of the numerous Tuscany towns where you would stay to avoid pumped up rates in major touristic destinations, though you can still enjoy perfect food, great hospitality, not expensive restaurants etc. So was the hotel: good breakfast, very reasonable price, nice rooms - nothing to complain
It is a unique location outside of town with a good view. The home is quite big and has some great amenities, including breakfast. The restaurant in the town was really good if you do stay here give it a visit for dinner (after 7:30pm): Ristorante Masetto da Lamporecchio 2.0.
Lovely hotel with real nice pool area, stunning view and good breakfast. Pool bar is great, employees are really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay a lot. God a nice room with balcony.
