The property was strategically located, making it easy to travel and visit the South coast of Iceland. It was also a little away from the city lights, allowing us to catch the Northern Lights twice during our stay. The staff was so helpful and gave us a lot of good suggestions on where to travel and eat. We had initially booked a small room with two bunk beds and a double bed. However, upon arrival, we saw another room option more suited for our duration of stay (8 days). The management and staff were kind enough to upgrade us and provided us with the best comfort and stay. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

Skalatjorn is a comfortable place to stay off of the Ring Road. The hosts were very friendly. They talked to us before and after our stay. Helena decorated the room very pretty. The bathroom was clean and big. The kitchen was perfect for making a pasta dinner. Nice area to sit and eat, and talk about our Icelandic adventure.
