Hotel Berg by Keflavik Airport, hotel in Sandgerði

This boutique hotel is next to central Keflavik’s picturesque marina, 3.5 km from Keflavik Airport.

This hotel was great for the last night before our flight. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and bathroom was lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time there to enjoy the pool and other facilities but highly recommend this hotel for a before or after flight stay.

We chose to stay here on our last night in Iceland, for the convenience of the airport. It was really good, a very easy 10/15 minute drive, with no traffic or weather worries so was well worth it! Its close to blue lagoon too so you could go there, but it was fully booked for us so we drove up to Sky lagoon instead to soother our aching muscles! Has a hot tub which we didn't use as we had been to the lagoon but would have been a nice way to finish off especially as we were treated to a great Aurora display.. a fantastic way to bid farewell to Iceland! Very well equipped and nicely furnished. The only slight negative if we were staying longer is the walls were a little thin in the semi detached and you could hear next door at times, as they had a full house, so I would opt for the detached for privacy but fine for us for one night.

    Lovely quiet place.

Lovely quiet place. Very nice host, easily contactable since they live in the property next to the place. Loved the hot tub outside. A little out of the way, but no problem if you have a car. Would have loved to stay longer.

Perhaps it's not among the most dramatic scenery in Iceland, but the solitude along the beaches, the friendly horses in the pastures that adjoined the headlands, the lighthouses--a quiet Icelandic adventure. There are at least three different ways in which this area can be enjoyed if allotting 3-4 days for each visit--research and enjoy!

    Maybe more outdoor chairs.

Maybe more outdoor chairs. I was also surprised that there was breakfast facilities including coffee, tea and butter etc. since I did not know upon arrival I bought our own food. But maybe I did not read your information well enough?
