Our room was spacious, with table and two chairs and king size bed. Lots of closets, little kitchen area with sink and refrigerator. Breakfast had a good variety of food. Check in and our was easy. They offer buffet style dinner, the lamb stew and cooked lamb was delicious.

We stayed overnight the last night of our drive around the island. One of the things that made me book was “Breakfast included”. Their breakfast starts at 8am, which was too late for us-had to get on the road to the airport by 8am. If I had known breakfast hours I would have looked at other hotels.

Dinner at the hotel was the best meal I had in Iceland. We loved having the animals nearby. We had a good view of the northern lights. The rooms were comfortable. The shower was great. Located near some hot springs. I would have liked to have stayed longer.

Our second return to this gorgeous hotel, nestled into the hillside on a working farm. Cosy, clean rooms and the most delicious breakfast! Evening meal was very good too in the very ambient restaurant. If you love the outdoors ( & this is the country for you if so) then to sit under the stars ( & Aurora if you’re very lucky) in the geothermal hot pool next to the mountain stream, is nothing short of magic. There is also a huge outdoor fire pit to warm up beside on cold nights. We love this place & will definitely return. It’s easy to reach from the main road yet feels truly remote & wild once you are inside. A short trip from other natural wonders too... Fabulous!
