the apartman is a small house in the city, it is easy to reach. it was clean, comfortable. we were lucky it was not hot, so we could sleep with open windows. the owner lives at the other part of the house, they were very kind and helpful.

Close to the falls and restaurants. The house has perhaps 10 units for rent. Very clean and comfortable rooms and hospitable host. They have a community area with a dining room and kitchen, and an outdoor sitting area where you could also cook in a “bogracs” a stewpot if you are inclined to make Hungarian fish soup or goulash. You can park inside the gate of the house, well protected and convenient.

If you like travelling around and discovering new places in nature, Szilvasvarad is the place you should add on your list. Such a peaceful place with amazing nature and hills around. Perfect for a nice hike. You can also take a small touristy train which takes you around the hills, the scenarios are amazing. The specialty of the place is smoked trout. Trust me when i say that it is simply delicious and that alone is enough reason to visit the area.

The communication with the hotel was great and smooth. I asked them to prepare a bottle of wine as a birthday gift and they did great with that including adding a note. Both breakfast and dinner were great, the wellness area was also great and there were many other activities at the hotel which made our stay more fun. The room was spacious and the location was also nice, very close to the natural park. Overall it was a great stay.
