Excellent food, staff speaks English/German so it was easy to communicate, location where everything is couple of meters away (Buda castle, Chain bridge, Margit bridge, House of parliament,...).

Budakeszi is a small but lovely local village close to Budapest. It has many things to look at and see. The people are friendly and helpful and there is everything there you need for your short stay holiday, or a weekend getaway when visiting Budapest, especially if you want an authentic local experience. I highly recommend it, you will get away from the high prices of Budapest and pay more local prices.
Bus 22-22A take you directly to a tram stop and you will hop off and go to town from there (5 mins), lots of picture opportunities on the journey, especially over the bridge.
Stadt Restaurant is a must, great service, even better food and half the price of Budapest tourist places. The goulash is brilliant!

I was visiting friends, more specifically the parents of my godchild, who had his birthday. Budakeszi is a charming little town right adjacent to Budapest and still retains a lot of its German heritage. Szell Kalmán ter, one of the main public transport hubs on the Buda side of Budapest, is just a 20 min train ride, so it is also convenient as a quiet base for exploring Budapest.
