Extremely friendly staff. They don't speak English but do understand it well, they do speak German and Greek of course. They give very good advice, invite you for tea and conversations. Really nice. The room was very good, pretty big with nice facilities, but all the facilities are a bit old. The weather wasn't too hot so I just opened the windows at night.

The view was amazing and the apartment itself was so much better than expected. The main bathroom is huge and the natural light in the master bedroom and the kitchen will make you wanna stay inside. It's located just far enough from the city center so you can enjoy the silence. It's a walking distance from the bus station and a large grocery store.A vehicle is recommended though, as the island itself is big enough and without all-day public transport. There is free parking on site . We had a scooter and it made our life so much easier. The hosts were kind and helpful. The definition of "value for money". 10/10 would visit again.

Lovely, quaint and calm (almost pristine)island not crammed with tourists. Karlovasi is surrounded by blue clear sea, green lush trees, plentiful taverns and nice friendly people. Many homes from 1800s have been restored and are charming. There is a CENTER of town full with stores and lounges/bars to relax.

Karlovasi, the nearby towns, and the island of Samos as a whole, is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in the Greek islands. It offers a bit of everything… breathtaking mountain and ocean views, beautiful (and not crowded) beaches, abundant vegetation (including the magnificent Potami waterfalls) friendly people, delicious foods and restaurants (many accessible by foot) plus much more!!

It's worth going to Potami for the beaches rather than sticking to the hotel beach closer to the Port. A set if beach loungers at the hotel beach costs €5 and food/drink is not readily available. At Potami if you buy coffees or food from the beach restaurants then the price of the chairs are comped. Plus Potami has better views and the waterfalls nearby.

Working port.
Working port. Things around Karlovasi are nice though we feel they could do much more to make the waterfront area more enjoyable to visit. Perhaps more boutique shops, small cafes other than the few in a row. No sense of it having any charm really. The town of Karlovasi is pretty boring. They need to re-think their town's accesibility as the location is good and there are lots to see around it.

Fantastic small town, distributed in 3 basic areas.
Fantastic small town, distributed in 3 basic areas. The port and the old Karlovassi in the hill, the middle karlovassi, and the new karlovassi. A place with big history. Very close to Potami (waterfall) and Seitani (Natura protected) beaches.

It seems like many visitors to Samos don't make it to Karlovasi, but it is gorgeous and full of it's own charm. It has plenty of restaurants, a wonderful beach, historic churches, and hiking paths. We recommend Rendezvous 2000 in the port for dinner and the cafe Relax for breakfast or lunch.
The hotel's facilities were quite good compared to other hotels in Samos, our room was very clean, the hotel was very pleasant in general, and the employee named María at the entrance was very friendly and very helpful. She gave us advice on the restaurant we would go to for dinner with our family, and even called the restaurants herself and informed us about the location and availability. She was very supportive, we will not forget his help.
Nice little hotel right at the port of Karlovassi with restaurants and bars. Balcony overviewing a little garden with 2 geese and lots of cats. The owner is a lovely lady, unfortunately her English is not so good which made it difficult to communicate. But she was ever so nice and invited me in her house and made me some sweet greeks snacks. Great place if you're planning to visit Potami waterfalls or do the hike to Seitani beaches.
Hotel was in good location with car parking next door. Short walk to the port area where there are a few restaurants. Staff were very helpful leaving keys in doors for us as we arrived very early.
One of the rooms was very musty as probably hadn't been used for a while.
We had a balcony but it is very small and has a view of sea on either side of rooms in front that looked straight out to us so not very private.
Everything from the location to the breakfast (buffet, good!). Staff extremely nice and helpful. Thank you again!
Clean, renovated with taste, swimming pool that seemed enjoyable.
I had to stay in Karlovasi for one night "in transit" and I thought "ok, just pick a hotel that not to far from the port". And I was very very happy with my choice. I would definitely go again.
Everything was great. Their breakfast is perfect. They have a super cute swimming pool surrounded with green plants. Location is good too. I really like Karlovasi even though it's not a very touristical area. I think it was quiet and peaceful. Potami beach is great here. People are extremely hospitable. I might come back in the coming years.
This is a lovely hotel. The staff are fantastic. They were able to give me loads of advice and went above and beyond to make my stay great. The pool is wonderful my room was spacious and very clean. I also had a nice balcony with a sea view. It is about 15 minutes walk from the ferry terminal.
We visited Jennys apartment 14 days between 19/8 to 2/9. The host pair was very nice. We enjoyed the garden very much. The beds were the best we ever had in Greece. It takes only one minute to go to the beach. We enjoyed our time at Jennys apartment and will come and visit it again.
The location of the hotel is excellent: it's conveniently located between Karlovasi centre and the beach, with a large supermarket nearby. The room and hotel were very clean and tidy. John, who checked us in, was super friendly and helpful with recommendations etc!
The hotel had all the necessary accommodations and all the staff was very hospitable. I was treated like family and was even offered some local cuisine including Gemista! The host, Georgia, also helped me plan the rest of my trip and my future accommodations!
Hotel location was very good. A clean and comfortable hotel. In the center of the restaurants and cafes of Karlovasi. You can walk to the Potami beach in 20 minutes from the hotel. I would also like to thank Koula at the reception for her kind help.
The hotel location and neighborhood is beautiful.
nice cafes and restaurants around.
Mrs. Kuyla at reception is very nice and kind.
This was the second time we stayed at hotel and not the last time. New Karlivassi is 3 mnta by car.
Amazing view from the 3rd floor were you have a complete view to karlovasi area and the sea. Very friendly stuff ready to solve any issue that may come up, with a 24h presence in reception.
A very clean and quite room.
Breakfast was basic but good quality, as expected. A lot of amenities in the room (shaving kit, dental care kit) that you don’t find even in more expensive hotels. For 40 euros a night this was an excellent hotel.
Located in a great location, the hotel is close to the port, beach and restaurants. The room is very spacious, modern and new. The staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.
The location is good if you have a car or scooter otherwise a long uphill walk from northern Karlovasi waterfront / port. Potami beach is 2 km to west.
