I loved the hotel area community in which this property was situated because it allowed for easy access to restaurants and night life at night. It felt safe with soo many other tourists walking within the space as well.
Offering a beautiful setting on Grande Bay, Canella Beach Hotel features accommodation with sea, garden or pool views, an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.

The location is quite handy, the beach is beautiful, the rest is pretty dreadful

The property was quiet, low-key, comfortable, and hostess (wife) was friendly and full of knowledge! There were also so many cats around it was fantastic.
Situated at the heart of a tropical garden, among palm trees and close to the beach, La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa features rooms with sea or garden views, an outdoor swimming pool and a restaurant.

The hotel was carefully designed and has beautiful garden. The room we booked was spacious, the bed was really big and comfortable. The beach and pools were fine. Beach towels could be requested by room card. The breakfast is very varied an tasty. The special thing for me was the freshly made fruit and vegetable smoothie, put together according to my wishes. The restaurant closes in the early afternoon, we couldn't have lunch there, but we could go out to Allain's for lunch. You can buy drinks or snacks on the beach, by the way. The rooms were clean, but there was regularly no water in the taps. The airport transfer was correctly organized for the time of our departure
Mahogany Hotel Residence & Spa, part of Creole Beach Hotel, is set in tropical gardens on Guadelupe’s Verdure Peninsula. It offers a gym, spa and sauna, as well as an outdoor pool.

Breakfast was really great, lots of variety and tasty. Also enjoyed the Hammam. The spa is popular so probably need to book treatments when you reserve the room.

The property is as the description states, not always the case. Losing the water on the island for almost two days is an island problem, not the property's fault. They did what they could to lessen the effects of the outage.

We hired a car, and were able to get around easily , we liked St Annes, and ate there. I am vegetarian and would highly recommend
Widy Gregos...just 10 mins away, I believe the food was vegan, and gluten-free, whatever it was fabulous.
It is necessary to book.
From our apartment, we could drive to anywhere in Guadeloupe in about an hour.
Beaches were clean and generally sand and rocks.
Wildlife was abundant, from Iguanas to Humming birds.
Driving from one island to the other always involved going through Point a Pitre the capital which was via a busy motorway...not something we expected.

We liked the beaches before the town, Arawak and next to The Pelican Hotel. Very quiet and good swimming. The Pelican bar was good for Tapas and cocktails. The town beach Datcha was very crowded with tourists and bars.
Le Ti Maki is a very good restaurant but you need to book.
New Ti Paris, live Jazz restaurant, again need to book

The area we were in was really seedy and run-down.
The area we were in was really seedy and run-down. We eventually found an area that had some forms of eateries - I wouldn’t call them restaurants.
We had to get our phone torches out on every side street as they were unlit and uneven.
Maybe there are nicer areas of Le Gosier, but we did not stay around to find out.
Being attacked in the street and sprayed with pepper spray with no provocation will do that for you.
There are hundreds of gorgeous places on Guadeloupe - choose them, personally, I would avoid Le Gosier.

The apartment has a great location, literally 5 min walk through a garden area to a semi-private lovely beach with a terrific view and lounging chairs available free of charge. The nearby ( 1 min walk) mini market has supplies for breakfast (croissants and baguettes, as well as french cheeses !) and many other items. A choice of 5 cozy restaurants are next door too , super convenient. We loved our visit to the very point of Grande Terre, le Pointe des Chateaux, as well as our drive to Basse Terre and the village of Deshaies, where Murder in Paradise was filmed.Rental car is the best way to get around, there is bus service, but it tends to be crowded. The apartment is lovely, very well equipped and quiet.

We stayed on Basse-Terre before coming to Le Gosier.
We stayed on Basse-Terre before coming to Le Gosier. In comparison, Le Gosier was more touristic, had less natural wonder, and felt less friendly. Had someone shout out of a car window for us to go home on walk to beach for example.
The tourists here also treat the locals rudely. Speaking to them with cursory demands and general lack of respect.
We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel has a good location outside LeGosier. It is close enough to town for activities, yet remote enough to be quiet. The nearly private beach is very nice. The pool and hottub are very inviting. The guy at the front desk was willing to speak good English. The breakfast buffet was pleasant, but not particularly good quality. I'm still listing it as a plus, because it is hard to complain while your sipping cappuccino watching the palm trees gently sway on a tropical beach.
The resort is spacious, with several restaurants, pool and beachfront. The beach was clean and you have access to jet ski rentals. The hotel is in walking distance from car rental facilities, casino and le gosier area with restaurants and shops. The employees were friendly. Breakfast was nice with many options, wildlife on the property was a plus! Chickens, cats, lizards, birds and iguanas!
Staying at the Hotel Village Soleil was perfect for us as it is a 5 minute walk to the marina, with tons of restaurants, bakeries, pharmacy and grocery store. It was perfectly located for us in terms of where we needed to go in Point-a-Pitre as well and it was fairly easy to meet taxis when required. Le Gosier beach is not far away and there is a very large pool on site.
It was challenging to find the property at first as Google Maps had the wrong place. The owners spoke no English and cell signal was spotty so it was a bit stressful at first. Once there, we were 100m from Petit-Havre! The upstairs apartment was wide open and had wonderful views. We were comfortable and didn’t bother to use air conditioning as the breeze was wonderful!
The place is spacious, very modern, clean, a few minutes by car from the busy center of Le Gosier, the best feature of this place is the amazing view from the open lounge and balcony of the flat, this alone is worth every penny, we wish we had stayed longer, if you are in doubt of where to stay in Gosier, don't look any further and choose this place hands down.
Nice hotel, close to the airport but still enough outside the city to have a nice clean beach nearby. Breakfast started at 6:00 which allowed use to profit from the jet lag. Nice common areas. Nice sea view from the selected room. Private hotel beach small but nice. Large enough facility to not be too crowded despite being fully booked.
We had great views from the balcony. The room was good.
From the hotel you can reach everything in the town by walking.
Natalia was perfectly taking care of us, even we arrived at the weekend and late in the night.
We felt comfortable there during our stay.
The beautiful and inviting beach (Plage de Bas du Fort) within a few steps of the apartment complex, the pleasant rapport with the host’s representatives on site (Mme et M. Rousseau), the central location in Le Gosier and proximity of great shops and sights.
Cosy clean place. Beautiful terrace, nature, calm. The owner Lise was amazing. She was awesome, she showed me some places around and greeted me like a 5 star hotel. I was very happy to have such an experience.
The place is overrated, overpriced and rundown. The pictures on Booking.com are to nice and colourful, it doesn't represent the actual state of the hotel/room.
